Improving my credit

Hello,

I just opened a few lines of credit recently and I'm wondering which card I should pay more attention to, so that when time arrives for a credit limit I have better chances in getting something good.

I got three credit cards. One Secured Visa card, another Best Buy Reward Zone Mastercard, and another Walmart credit card.

All have a current CL of $1000, $1600. $500, $500 respectively.

Also, my friend added me as an authorized user to her Chase credit cards. It has been three months and it still has not been reported to the credit bureaus. Is there anything I can do?

Hi Alina,

I think you should pay attention to one and all of the credit cards that you have. Try keeping the balances low on all of these cards and you will have a good credit score. Maintain the on-time payments on all f these cards. Always keep proof of your payments.

As for the authorized user account, I think you should talk to Chase about this and also your credit bureaus. You can request them to update the listing.

Thanks,

Aaron

mastercard, and Visa are majors. Keep your utilization low. If it is affordable you can get a car loan. But above all don't buy things you can't afford. credit is not money.

Yes, the most important thing that should be maintained is the credit utilization. Also, one should always maintain his on-time payments on the credit accounts.
