Have a few old credit card accounts that were charged off 3+ years ago and are now past SOL. Financial situation has now improved and trying to resolve old accounts and improve credit. Accounts have gone around many CAs. Have DV'd them and none reporting on credit report now. Trying to work with OCs to settle accounts and remove the charge off status - change to Paid. OCs are not responding to investigation requests or settle ofers. What options available to get OCs to work with me?

do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment

the OC don't own the debts any more so they can't deal with you. but who are the OC's? Have you tried the 623 request?

yes - have credit reports
in NC
OCs are Chase, HSBC, Capital One and have DV'd multiple CAs
Date of first deliquencies are in 2006 and 2007
I have sent 623 requests to the OCs - I don't have the account numbers or even remember what the balances were on the accounts.

so the statute of limitations are 3 years. you can try complaining to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency about these national banks. explain that you have received no reply to your 623 investigation request. you can just copy the tradeline verbatim (or cut and paste) if you don't know the account numbers. if they don't reply they have to delete. I wouldn't pay anyone that doesn't verify that they own the debt and can list on your credit report.
