Subject: frud and chase bank credit card

i had a family member get a chase bank credit card,and others when i found out about i called each credit card company .i explained what had happened and i paid each one an amount they agreed on.i sent the credit card company the amount agreed on over the phone.they were all very understanding and i had no problems i wrote paid off one each one of the checks.my family member has a mental illness and i wanted to keep this in the family.the only one i've had problems with is with chase bank they stated that i hadn't talked to them and still owe over 1000 dollars i paid them over 3000 dollars this has been going on for a few years.i'm 80 years old and in bad health now chase has turned it over to a lawyer,i don't have the money to pay them ,what should i do.thank you

Do you have the bank statements to prove that you have paid more than $3000 to Chase Bank?
I think that you should stop making any further payments and ask for DV from Chase bank in order to check how much payment you have already made and how much debt you still owe to Chase Bank.
