Subject: if my daughter has credit problems can they attach my social

my daughter has her name on my social security banking so she can help me get my bills paid when I can't get out of the house.

She has some credit card problems.. and I am worried that her credit card company will take my social security

Subject: social security cannot be garnished

Hi,

Under the terms of Federal Law, social security cannot be garnished. If all the money in the account comes from social security, and you can prove it, the creditors and the collection agency may not be able to garnish your social security. Moreover, to cut down on any risks, you can request your daughter to remove her name from your account.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron
