Hi all,

I got a $50 Visa gift card from a mobile company a month ago. However, I accidentally "overspent" on that card by $5.50, and have just found out that I cannot add money to it so as to offset the amount owed.

Now that I'm running out of options, do you think that T-mobile will start collection proceedings on that account? Can they do that and ruin my credit history? I am afraid that my credit history will be ruined due to that balance?

Hi Haley,

I think rather than trying to talk to them through the customer service, you should try to talk to the card issuer. If possible talk to them as to how you should pay off the overdue amount.

Thanks,

Aaron

that is ridiculous. how does a supposed 50 dollar gift turn into a bill? i would contact the attorney general of your state. that is shady
