Subject: I live in alabama can a judgement for credit card debit invo

I owe about 3000.00 for a credit card but have no job right now and haven't for about 6 months. I cant even afford bankruptcy. A credit card is suing me when they get a judgment can they take my house?

Hi Lorraine,

If you had kept the house as a security, then only can they take your house and sell it, after winning a judgment. As for filing bankruptcy, you can for the waiver off bankruptcy fee. GO to the court and inquire into the details of the waiver of fees. You can also take help from other family members and friends if possible.
