I only get social security since stroke, i do not have a car or anything, but credit card that they said they are writing off as bad debt, what happens now. can they sue me.

they can try. They can't really take your ss but you have to protect your checking account. If they serve you then make sure that you show up to court.

Yes, they can sue you for the credit card debt. However, Social Security cannot be garnished as such. Still, you can check the state laws on garnishment. You may have to declare that your only source of income is Social Security.
