They just make it so a person doesn't want to even bother. All those astronomical amounts for a small debt. It s like being punished over and over for soemthing you couldn't help at the time. I really think it is ridiculous and they should put a cap in place on things like this. If the original debt was $300 it should not be allowed to go over $5oo . More people would pay past debts if they would fix this problem.

I agree, I think there should be a cap on it, I bet alot of these companies would go out of business because they could not collect 5 times the original debt from a debtor, they are like the vultures after the kill, they come in to get the bounty and more.

To me they are no better than the gas companies charging outrageous prices and fees. If some of these rules were put into place we all would be better off.

It may, you never know, then you can put back the money that you have been spending on gas and save it for a rainy day right? or pay off that bill that has been nagging.

True but I just read the newspaper and they said OPEC has a meeting this month and they are gonna list several reason why gas should not fall below $100 a barrel. Mainly Chinas booming economy and they supply and demand factor. So all those people in higher places will get the report and keep prices up to at least that level.

Hopefully the public will get some information on it, I really don't think that they can keep it under raps, it is too high of a topic right now, it will be all over the news.

Yes. I think the meeting is scheduled for mid month. I was just reading write ups in the readers digest on the presidential hopefuls Mc Cain and Obama. I am trying to figure out who would be best or if either of them will be. They both have such different goals for the white house.

And as soon as either one of them get in there it will be whatever congress wants, they are just a spokes person more or less for the white house. They don't make any decisions with out a vote from congress.

Wanna hear a really good one that peeved me really bad. I was reading the paper (as usual) and they want to start imposing a tax added to your property taxes for the state police funding. Starting a t $100 per head in each household. They are talking about starting with the communities that have 10,000 more residents and then working to the lower ones. Like anyone can afford this at this time.
