I had a garnishment against a deadbeat and it kicked in months ago but the dead beat would always come up with and excuse to get the money back from employer before it was sent to me then employer drags they're feet on re-enstating another draw. Now the person has filed bankruptcy which stopped the garnishment. How can I get my money owed me?
Good question, are they filing bankruptcy on the account that they have with you? Hopefully not, then you can proceed with collection. You could possibly talk to the local magistrate in your area and see if they can do anything for you.

OP..if they DO file BK on that specific account ( on money they owe you), then you can't collect it. Hopefully they didn't.
