Anyone ever heard of National First Capital?

They have been calling me and people I know first asking if someone over 18 will be home during the day for them to serve papers and to call them and "wishing me luck". I talked them and told them to give me the name of their company and contact info so I could check with my local sheriff's department to see if this is legit. Of course, they wouldn't. They stopped called for a while and then they started up again and gave the following phone number: 888-393-6050. I was supposed to call this and let them know when someone was going to be available for them to serve me. So, I called and the guy who answered was very mean and condescending about the whole thing especially when I again wanted the contact info for the company. He eventually hung up on me, and again the calls stopped. Now, they have this woman calling me saying she will be in my local area in the next 24-48 hours with papers for me to sign and wants to know my place of employment to serve me. Also, they are harrassing family members and threating to arrest them. So I called them again, and now a woman answers who is again very rude and calls me basically a deadbeat and says she wants to make payment arrangements before I am served. I asked her the name of the company and she gave me National First Capital which when I googled, is actually a mortgage company. Therefore, I am assuming this is a false name. Was just wondering if anyone here had heard of them before. Thanks!

If you want this to stop immediately contact your state attorney generals office and give them all the information that you have posted and let them deal with them, they will not give them the bs they will give you.

I would contact the attorney generals office immediately and let them handle these jokers.

Hi Julia,

You can send them a cease and desist letter stating that you will entertain this behavior from them. After that make a diary at the local police station against this company since they do not seem legit and also file a complaint with the state attorney general.

Get that cease and desist out immediately. They are seeing that you are not really taking any action to stop them and this is why the are continuing to harass. I would also send them a debt validation. Be sure you are sending ALL mail certified with return receipt requested. If they will not provide you with a proper address then let the atty general get the information from them. I recently had to resort to calling my state atty general and I can tell you they really do get to the bottom of the matter. The sooner you make this call and get those letters in the mail the sooner all this will stop.

Thanks for the replies. I don't actually have an address on these people, just a phone number, and I can't locate any info about them online. I did report them to the attorney general's office, but without an address, I can't send them any letter. Hopefully, the attorney general can find them.

The attorney general is pretty good about following up with everything at least in our state. Hopefully yours is as good about things. Goodluck and keep us updated on things.

The atty general really is good. I looked for the address myself and have not come up with much. You can read a lot about them on 1-800 notes.I did read some of what others wrote. A lot of it looks pretty recent. Just type on 1 800 notes into your search engine and read what others have wrote on this company.

Julia - Curious if anything ever happened with this. I received a call today for a relative. I called back and told them they had the wrong address but they said they would serve the papers anyway. Did they show up? If so was it real or a scam. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks!

I too keep getting these phone calls at work and they're telling my coworkers that they're going to send the sheriff's dept over to serve me, it has been a couple of weeks and it hasn't happened. They were even told to serve me at home and I have not seen them yet, I refuse to call that number and I will be contacting my Gen Atty's office, I suggest you do the same.

Hi Tara,

Can you be more specific on what you want to know? If the question would have been more clear, I could have given you required suggestions.

Regards,

Aaron
