Negative listing stays in your credit report for seven years or till the time the SOL in your state has expired. Now SOL ranges from three years to ten years depending upon the state you made the loan agreement. But in your case, the negative listing may have been removed because you might have made regular payments to pay back the debt in full and so even if the SOL rewind, it will have no effect on your credit report as the debt has been fully paid back and at the same time the seven year time period has been over.

So it will not roll back the SOL? I always wondered how that worked. As long as they still fall off in the long, long, seven year period then thats great.

This is not an advertising site, first and fore most. Why would people respond..most can get their credit fixed just as easily and definaltely cheaper by doing it theirselves. What is it you feel that you can do for us that we can not do ourselves? Here at the forum we try to guide people in repairing their own credit. Not only because it is cheaper but it educates everyone along the way.

I agree with you fireyone, and we learn alot in the process. We will work harder to keep things paid up and our record clean if we know what hard work goes into it to clean it up.

This is what I tell everyone. I was at the dentist recently and read an article while waiting in one of those business type magazines. It was saying how people were gonna have to wise up and relize alot of these debt consolidation companies are taking advantage of the debtor and most are fraudulent. They stated that the business has gotten so lucrative that every tom, Dick and Harry is getting their hands in the pot. I will do my repair on my own.

Subject: can a collection agency collect an old debt at

Hello,
I have a question about an old debt that has fallen off all three credit reports. I received a letter yesterday and a judgement that states I have to go to court and pay the debt that is no longer on within the SOL in connecticut. The debt got transferred/sold AFTER it fell off of my report. Has this happened to anyone?

thank you,

cat
