Hi,
Without debt validation a company cannot continue with the collection process. If you have not received the debt validation, you can try it for the second time. Only after you receive the validation of the debt, may you settle with the company the payment amount.

| I need to get phone numbers for consolidated recovery group H/Q and also credit services international H/Q.. I have been looking for months for these and one other number.. allied interstate of all places.. i finally found the H/q number for them but my bank is getting a bit ticked that i have not been able to send these checks in and are threatning our loan to be taken back from us.. please anyone ... help!! |

| I do know what the debt is for.. thats not a problem.. its finding the collection agency that has them and has for quite a few years.. and because of moving to a different location i no longer recieve letters or calls,, this was on my credit report. i am not disputing it.. it is a valid debt.. guilty.. as "charged" . the bank included the money i owe in our loan and i have the checks from the bank to the places but ill be danged if i can find where to send them to or phone number for their main office or headquarters.. i dont even have the same last name as i did then so i cant just send it in and they will know.. i have to call them and actually try to communicate with them.. |

I was wondering if you've ever heard of a company called TITAN Group? I see you have Titan Mgmt Srvs but this company seems to be different. They are somehow connected with a Cash Advance America company. I have their phone number and when I called to get their address they refused to give it to me. The harrassment MUST STOP!!! I think Titan Group, LLC is a payday lender. SO, did you take any payday loan? If you have not, then you should send them a "Cease and Desist letter" through certified mail, requesting a return receipt.

| I WAS WONDERING IF U HEARD OF AN AGENCY CALLED FAM...FINANCIAL ASSET MANAGEMENT IN LOS ANGELES. I RECIEVED A CALL SAYING THEY HAD A SUMMONS TO SERVE ME WITH AND TO CALL ABOUT THE DETAILS. SO I CALLED AND THEY SAID I WOULD GET SERVED IN THE NEXT 2 DAYS BUT IF I PAID AT LEAST $100 OR MORE & KEEP MAKING PAYMENTS WITH THEM THEY WOULD NOT HAVE ME SERVED WITH A COURT ORDER. IS THIS LEIGITATE? |

You should send a debt validation letter to Financial Asset Management through certified mail, requesting a return receipt. Their address:

This will stop them from suing you. According to FDCPA a collection agency cannot continue with the collection process, and cannot even sue the debtor if they cannot validate the debt.

1) Have you heard of this company?
2) *and here is the long question*
If this company spoke with someone else about a debt that wasn't theirs, without the debtors written consent (or verbal over phone?), it is a privacy act violation? If so, what can be done?

Can you please give the full name of this company or agency?
If this is a collection agency, and if they gave out details on a debt to a person who does not owe it, you can file complaints with the Federal trade Commission as this is a violation of Fair Debt Collections Practices Act.

| I signed a 3 year lease on a vehicle back in 2002, 1 year later due to some financial hardship that evolved from a medical emergency, I had to return the vehicle. Obviously, I owed what was due on the lease but had no means to pay it. I received a letter stating that I still owed $$ for the unpaid portion of the lease about 6 months after I returned it. Since, then (7 years ago) I have received nothing from them what so ever. Now, 7 yrs later (statue of limitation for my state is 6 yrs) I am contacted by a collection agency telling me that I am in a wage garnishment state, going to have a lien put on my home and numerous other threats if I don't pay the full amount by Monday. Can they really take me to court over this? |
