Be sure to mention Credit Magic, so I'll know where you came from...

And here's the list..... If you don't see what you're looking for, no problem... There isn't one I don't have, or can't find...

Wow Are there truly that many collection agencies out there? No wonder a debt never truly dies. There are too many other collectors to buy it and harass you about it. This list is truly amazing. Thatnks for taking the time to list as I am sure it probaly took some time. Looking at this list makes me think there sure must be some pretty good money in collecting old credit card debts.

This only SOME of them... There are literally THOUSANDS... These are the most frequently seen in our office...

Again, if anyone wants collection agency contact info, visit my website, and send me an email from the link below my picture on the "about us" page...

Happy Holidays!

"Looking for me"...? My name and contact information are posted here, and on my company website. I'd like very much to know who has mistaken me for someone with such rudimentary methodology...

I'll not bother responding with anything more than a simple request that you identify yourself, should you be adult enough to do so...

You have Global Acceptance Credit Company on there!!! GOD BLESS YA!! When I FIRST started 'dealing with them', they told me they were a Law Office. I was just telling GOODNATURED they are on my CR. They ARE difficult to deal with. DOC..........can ya give me some advice on how to 'deal' with some of these CA's? I deal with a few, on your list, besides Global.

Thu, 01/01/2009 - 19:03 Permalink

I don't remember where I put the number for Global, DESIREE,...but, if you Google it and search for the name Global Acceptance, you acn get the number that way. That's how I got it. Everytime they called me, they would call with a 'Blocked' or Private' number. They are located in Texas. Hope this info helps ya.

Hi Desiree
Credit Vision is a collection agency to whom the original creditor must have sold off your debt. Their number is (888) 830-2405 and their address is
1803 Tarant LN, STE 230, Colleyville, Texas 76034
You should send them a debt validation letter immediately by certified mail with return receipt. As per the Fair credit reporting Act, the collection agency must validate the debt within 30 days of receipt of your letter.

Fri, 01/02/2009 - 07:29 Permalink

Carol is right. You should first send a DV letter by certified mail, and if the CA does not validate the debt within 30 days from the date of receipt of your letter, you need not pay them back. But if the CA properly validates the debt, you should make a repayment plan with the CA and pay off the debt, else the creditor can sue you to the court and bring judgment against you. Now, if there is a judgment listing in your credit report, your credit score may fall by as much as 100 points or even more.

Anthony,

I just missed (totally forgot) a small amount of money ($15) to the medical company. Now I was asked by USCB to pay this money. Will it affect my credit score if I pay it off within one week (USCB asked me to pay in one month).

Really wonder why the medical company not sending me a letter for that before they asked USCB for that.

Thanks

I received a check for 4500.00 from Dynamic Recovery Services, why? Do i cash it

Thu, 03/19/2009 - 12:16 Permalink

NO!! Don't cash it, CHUCK!! I got a check, from them, as well. This is a MAJOR scam!! They say you can get some kind of grant/loan with them ( I don't know if YOUR check came with a letter or not, but, mine did.) My letter stated 'the check I recieved was for their processing fee.' Ya see......how this works is if you DO cash the check, RIGHT away they will have your Bank/Savings account number. It may LOOK like an valid check, etc. When I received mine, I called the name of the bank that was written on the check. A very nice man talked to me. He told me the bank account, ON the check was "closed for fraud reasons." Hope this answers your questions. NOPE...DON'T CASH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just fended off Lowery and his thugs at Pezzuto as they never responded to VOD letter to prove existence or ownership of debt.

Two months later getting calls from Dynamic Recovery Services. I'll be sending them the same.

Are they affiliated with CACH? If so, is there some evidence available on the web. I'll spare you the details and just say I've built a good case for a suit against them and if I find out the DRS thing is (must be, been debt free for 5+ years) the same they'll all find themselves in a Texas courtroom.

Thank you!

Sat, 03/21/2009 - 21:33 Permalink

TEX...gald I could help. Yep.........if you get ANYTHING in the mail, and you have a 'gut feeling' it's just NOT legit, then it's probably some kind of fraud thing. I don't know if they are 'related; to CACH, however. Sounds like things are going well for your case....remember!!, keep everything in writing, etc.

people are really getting smarter and smarter day by day....

i am not sure but they (scammers) are really innovative in their ideas one need to keep the safe distance from them in order to protect oneself.

but i do understand one thing that one shouldn't be lured by any false promises where the business idea is skyrocketing promises of profits.

just ask for the money if you have really worked for it. do not run after free money as it is really a time wasting activity.

How about really old creditors? I have one from back in 2002 and it is past the SOL but yet everytime they sell this debt the new agency calls friends, family and any other number. By rights the debt should fall off this month and then I should have a completely clear credit report. I just figured their was no sense sending out any more cease and desist letters cause they just turn around and sell it anyway and it starts all over. I don't pick up unknown name numbers and after a while it stops. I figure this will go on forever. When do they usually stop selling a debt?

Thu, 07/09/2009 - 12:54 Permalink

Thanks Doc but I may as well wait it out. Like I said they will just keep selling it and the next place will start calling. I notice the frequency of the calls picks up once I check my credit report. Someone said they have a thing called a ticker on there and it shows collection agencies when you check your report.

Wed, 10/07/2009 - 15:52 Permalink

Dan, Have you tried to send them a debt validation letter by certified mail? Generally they will not validate and it could be removed. I would also contact the credit bureaus and dispute the debt. You could send them proof of this debt being cleared. It also appears your debt is close to the time frame for falling off your report. It should fall off on the seven year mark. Look at the date listed. If it is to fall off shortly I would watch for it to do so and if it doesn't dispute it and it will be taken off.

Does anyone know anything about them? I got this check in the mail, I laughed when I looked at it, it is for the amount of $1.00 not to sound mean but if this is a scam they really need to work on their tatics, cause it would cost me more money in gas to drive anywhere to cash that $1.00 check. Anyhow, I am just curious about it, as there was nothing enclosed with it, just the check itself.

Fri, 10/16/2009 - 04:49 Permalink

Hi shan,

It is a collection agency in California. Their address is, 31229 Cedar Valley Dr Westlake Village, CA 91362 and the phone number is (818)597-7500. BBB rating for this company is not available.

Hi, I need a physical address for the collection agency Marauder Corp. collection agency. A collection showed up on my credit report that i pulled last week with a date of 1/09 for 350$. I have never owed anyone this amount or taken out a payday loan or written an nsf check. ever. all the numbers on their site go unanswered. I have never been contacted by these people or received any mail or phone calls from them. I need to send them a letter of validation via certified return receipt mail. please help

Tue, 11/10/2009 - 15:23 Permalink

Hi Farol,

I did a search and I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for. I really hope not because it is a collection agency run by a man named Ryon Allen Gambill and people on the site are saying he reports things on peoples credit report as a scam. Don;t mean to scare you but I got address for you.

74-923 HWY 111
Indian Wells Ca. California 92210

Tue, 11/10/2009 - 16:40 Permalink

Hi Farol, Your first step need to be disputing the listing with the three credit bureaus. Then with in a few days send this company a debt validation letter certified mail, return receipt requested. I believe it cost less than $5.00 to do this. You can find sample debt validation letters on the side of your screen under letters of credit. You should include a time frame in wanting this information. I believe you at least must give them thirty days. Hope this helps you.

Does anyone know about these people?

Contact me if you are interested in having a reputable company provide you legal and fraud help. You buy their services on a monthly or annual basis, like one does with auto or other insurance. You hope you don't need it, but are covered in case you do.

Unless you actually need it I would not buy this type of service. Why pay all that moeny for a service you may never need. It would be a waste when there are so many companies that will take a case when the time it is actually needed. I also advise getting someone from your own area so that you can drive there if something arises. You can do this by checking your states web site. Recently a lot of states are putting links to reputable credit counseling help.

Sun, 12/13/2009 - 01:51 Permalink

Yep, FIREYONE...........I DO agree. 1). Their 'fee' would just be another bill you would have to pay..and....... 2). ALOT of the Credit issues you can take care of yourself WITHOUT apying anything!!

Sun, 12/13/2009 - 11:49 Permalink

Joe I have done the same thing, got medical bills that I didn't have the money to pay when I recieved them, just set them aside and forgot about them. Any way they were sent to collection. I just got the money together and sent the hospital a check. I never heard anymore from the collection agency. Hope this helps you, I owed a lot more than $15.

Sun, 12/13/2009 - 15:56 Permalink

I have to admit, I've done the same thing. I STILL receive bills, from CA's after the debt has 'expired'. I don't even try to call these people back.

Mon, 12/14/2009 - 00:17 Permalink

I've still gotten letters from them, like you I just ignore them. I figure if they deserved the money the creditor could give it to them. I paid the persons that I owed the money to. I assume the CA and the creditor must have worked it out, because eventually they quit bothering me.

Of course these were never large amounts of money, nothing that I would have had to make payments on.

Mon, 12/14/2009 - 01:50 Permalink

I know CA really aren't suppose to call anymore after the SOL expires on debts. But..they do anyway. It took awhile for a certain CA to stop calling.after I ALSO told him several times to stop. I actually had a few (ignorant) CA's tell me the wrong SOL for my state!!.LOL

Mon, 12/14/2009 - 08:20 Permalink

Do be aware that the expiration of the statute of limitations does NOT mean that they can't call you... It only means that they have no civil recourse against you...

The calls can and will only be stopped by a lawful written request that they cease all telephone contact...

Mon, 12/14/2009 - 13:04 Permalink

This is true. They can also still pursue you in court BUT they would not win if you can prove the SOL defense. This is why I tell people who have over due debt to check their states statute of liitations..every state is different. Also keep older copies of your credit report that contain the onformation on how old the debt actually is. You never know if when the original creditor falls off that a collection agency will not try to make a debt look newer. With out that old report you may not have the proof you need.

Tue, 12/15/2009 - 18:36 Permalink

When you send the money directly to the creditor make sure that you keep note of the check number and bill reciept number, that way you will make sure that they won't say that you did not pay the bill.

I am dealing with this right now with a dentist office, they never let you leave the office with out paying what you owe, now two years later I have to request bank statements to prove that I paid the bill, it is a big inconvience and I have to pay for the statements.

Wed, 12/16/2009 - 01:18 Permalink

GN...why, after so long, are they saying this? You wrote them a check? I'm sure if you talk to your bank (and it seems like you have already) they can help you find the payment.

Have no clue about them, have you check their reputation with the better business bureau, if people have something bad to say about them it will be on their.

Goodluck, hope you find out what you need to know.

You could also just google their name. Usually if there is any shady business it will be listed somewhere. If it was really bad some newspaper would have gotten it and it would have made its way to the web.

I hesitate to say it, but you can usually find a bad company on bud hibbs dot com.

Why do you hesitate to say this? I have visited the site and have found some useful information there. Do you believe the site is a good one?

Yes, but there is so much on there, and the page is so strongly written it is almost scary, it is very overwhelming to me.
