has anyone used gofreecredit.com?

My friend used it and said its a good site it offers you a free 30-day trial it pulls up your report and score and youa re able to get a detailed analysis of what ur problems are..

All monitoring services come w/ a free 30 day trial and i dont think that many ppl need an analysis to see whats wrong with their credit. collections, late payments, using to much of your credit, to many inquiries etc etc save yourself the 19.99 a month for just your experian report. Do some research and get a good service. MAny credit card companys have them for card members

Hi Wendyj
You should take note of the fact that if you register for a 30 day trial with gofreecredit, you should always call and cancel your registration within 30 days if you do not want to continue with their service, else you will be charged $12.95 each month you continue your membership. Most of the credit monitoring services gives you free credit report and credit score whenever you try for their credit monitoring service

I agree. I personally can't stand credit monitoring services. The sad thing about it is that most people who sign up for these are having financial difficuties to begin with. Then when they forget to cancel their subscription and start getting monthly charges it only makes their situation worse. As CMBV22 said, you don't have to pay someone to tell you whats wrong with your credit. Just go to annualcreditreport.com and pull them up yourself for free. Then do a little research and you can find out the same information that these credit monitoring companies charge you a fee for.

Credit monitoring services actually notifies the customer of anything unusual or suspicious that appears on your credit report. For this they charge a monthly fee. However, it is helpful for those who have a busy schedule and cannot take out time to review their credit report by themselves. But otherwise I think it is wise to go through your credit report and do a little research by yourself at least twice or thrice a year to check any discrepancies and report the discrepancies, if any, to the credit bureaus. This will save the money that would have otherwise gone to the credit monitoring services.

I think Scott is correct. Moreover, if you forget to cancel your registration within the one month demo period, you will be in a more worse situation as you need to pay the subscription money every month as cbass pointed out, which will add additional burden to your pocket. I prefer not to go for credit monitoring services and do the checking by myself at least twice a year.
