can you explain why it was considered to be so hard? And why one needs to be patient?

Seriously, you should work out arrangements with your creditors directly. Just make a budget, be brave and call your creditors. You'd be surprised what can be offered to you. I have heard horror stories of most debt settlement companies, even some of the reputable ones. I know that Debt Settlement USA demands 14% of all your overall unsecured debt to be paid in 11 months! Wow. OR...you could negotiate your own settlements. If you owe $30,000 then you must pay them $4200 which is $381/mth, they will expect their fee before the creditor gets anything. And it will not stop any creditor from filing suit against you or garnishing your wages. I've heard some charge an up front fee of $2000, and some that will charge an amount based on the percentage they just save you for your settlement. Ridiculous. It's already bad enough that you are being charged for late fees, finance charges & interest just for someone to dip in your pockets yet again. And you let them. It would be better to work with Money Management International as a payment alternative as you settle with companies on your own one by one. The only way debt settlement companies truly work is if you have money that you can pour into them. Again, you can negotiate yourself and save costs.

I'VE BEEN WITH J HASS FOR 2 MONTHS NOW. AND MY CREDITORS R TELLING ME THAT THEY HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING YET. OF COURSE THEY R. THEY WANT U TO PAY.I WATCH CLARK HOWARD AND HE HAS NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT ANY OF THESE AGENCIES. I DO GET A LITTLE WORRIED, BUT IF I CAN GET OUT OF DEBT IN 36 MONTHS, I THINK THATS GREAT. I WAS GOING NOWHERE ON MY OWN.

To those looking for info on JHass Group. Do not sign up with them! I made the mistake of signing w/them. I was in the program 10-months and they did absolutely nothing other than take my money each month on their fees! Customer service is ridiculous, you're on hold 10-20 min then put into a voice mail. I was frustrated and stressed dealing with them. Take it from someone who fired them and got my own attorney to help me thru a lawsuit which JHass Group was suppose to try and settle for me. This compnay in my opinion sucks, BIG time!

I had some tough times with this company, but all in all they were very good. I think most of my problems were actually more about my creditors. I had 1 that kept tellin me that J Hass never sent them anything right up until they got a settlement offer. Don't know why they would do this, but they obviously sent something if I got my settlement offer. Anyway, I'm not done yet, but am getting closer, and feeling better. Another 9 months and I should be debt free. I would have no problem sending anyone to them, and actually refered my own sister!

Don't use a debt settlement company. They charge too much money. They will tell you to save money, then they will "negotiate" for you. If you owe $1,000 to a credit card company and it has gone to a collection agency, offer 30%. If they won't take it, let it go to another collection agency. The more collection agencies that get your debt the more you can save. Tell the first one exactly that. 90% of the collection agences will take 40% and less if you have the cash.

I just fired them today because they never did anything for me and they would never call back. In the two years that I was using them to negotiate for me, they never once made a call on my behalf. I made one phone call to one of my credit cards and negotiated for less than 50% on my own. It only took one phone call. My suggestion is to not use the J. Hass group and save yourself time and money by doing it on your own.

Grade of F from the BBB. On probation with AZ Bar Association. He had 13 complaints and 4 are still standing. I spoke to them myself and so should you.
For some reason this web site won't let me post a link to a story by a Florida news channel that mentions Jason D. Hass. Google it yourself.
I hope you don't recognize yourself in the article.
Don't fall for his shill posters, especially one named Justin.
FILE COMPLAINTS EVERYWHERE.
(Yes, I spelled my user name like that on purpose.) |
