Ok, J Hass has not been shut down. I just authorized a settlement they just got for me. I owed $7800 and i settled for $1511. One thing everyone needs to know is when you get the collection letters in the mail you need to write them back saying I am working along with the J. Hass Group to help me settle my debt. Please contact them to start the process of paying the balance that is due.
They are not mind readers they do not know what collection companies your creditors have obtained to collect your debt. Any help you can give them will make it easier for them to settle what you owe and at a better price. Trust me the collection agencies want to settle the debt as well so they will call J Hass and start the process after they receive your letter.
This will be a long and painful process but if you have to have patience and it will get done. I started the whole thing in Nov. 2008 and I have settled 3 debts so far with 3 to go.
I hope this helps a little bit. |

I hope you are complaining to the authorities like the AZ Atty. General's office and the FTC.
Use the complaints site, too. Just posting to a bbs doesn't do much for you or others. |

You'll need to fix this to a URL since I am NOT allowed to post a link for some reason. |

| I have a friend that went throught J Hass. They told him not to pay his card bills for going on 6 months now. It is ruining his credit and charging him over $300 a month for doing it. Declare bankruptcy. It will have the same effect without creating more debt to Hass |

| When looking into a company to do this, you must make sure that they have a "money back guarantee" and also a "guarantee on what the total amount that they will save you". I work for a settlement company that also cleans up your credit AT THE SAME TIME. Not having to do it years down the road. And yes, in some cases Bankruptcy might be the best, but not all cases. |

| Of course the jhass group has a F rating at the BBB so do all debt companies that operate outside of credit bureaus, the question should be is "are they accredited in their industry?", JHass is as well as some other good companies. The reason to choose JHass is that they will start settling the minute they get an offer you can afford. Yes they want fees they are a company. From my experience as long as you work with the company and follow their trusted methods the program will work. Settling your debt with a company is a partnership, you just cant expect them, or let them for that matter, do it on their own, this is your debt. Because settlement companies don"t report to crediting agencies they don't know where your account sits, nor would a credit company tell them. So if your account goes to collections let your settlement company know. Also creditors especially the one you signed a contract with has the right to call you no matter what. So , in short the person who calls you wants money and will say anything to get it from you, just refer them to your company. And when they say they have never been contacted just say I'm sorry, but if you want my money thats where it is. the system works if you allow it to works. Almost all the companies use they same system its just the fees and the structure that changes. the reaspn to use a company is to protect yourself. This is because all of their phone lines are recorded and they know how to protect your settlement even if the creditor decided to still pursue more money after you have settled. In the end it will cost you money but 15-25% of your total debt plus the 35-50% off your debt is still left than 100% of your debt so you saved money, and all you had to do was avoid phone calls, get your budget back on course and communicate pro-actively with your company |

| Anything worth doing is better done by yourself. It's frustrating I agree but its slow and it works. One day at a time. Do it in writing and do it yourself. Ruthie |
