Alright guys I need all the help I can get.
I am going to attempt to repair my credit and wanted to know what the best order of operation i should take.

do I need to write DV letters first to the creditor or CA or can I go to the Credit Bureau website and dispute the validation from there. I want to take the most effective steps to get the accounts removed by failure to validate or deleted through Pay for Delete Agreements if possible.

I appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

Thank you

first go to annual credit report dot com and get printed copies of your reports

Don't dispute online, dispute tradelines in writing.

write DV letters to Collection Agencies

write 623 investigation requests to Original Creditors

Send letters CMRRR!

Thanks for the info.

Is there a certain amount of time that the CA or Original Creditor has to reply to a DV letter before you can request a dispute investigation from the Credit Bureau. is there a time frame for PFD Letters as well.

thanks in advance.

There is no time limit for the CA to respond to a DV. however the CA must cease collection activity until they respond including listing on your credit report.

the creditor has 30 days to respond to a 623 investigation

Hi Redsi,

All you need to do is first get hold of a copy of your credit report. You can then decide if there are any negative listings on your report. If there are, you can send debt validation(DV) letters to the collection agency(CA). After receiving the answer, you may decide if you really owe the debts. If you owe, you can directly pay those off, else settle the amount to be paid. Also request the creditor for a pay for delete agreement.

However, if there are any wrong listings on your credit report you can either write a 623 investigation request to the original creditor or else you can dispute this with the credit bureaus.

Remember to do all these through certified mail.
