Subject: DV letter question?

Is the DV letter for 30 days or for 30 business days ? because if it is for 30 days then TIMES UP assetcare...LOL

Yes, the creditor must validate the date within 30 days from the date they receive your debt validation letter and this 30 days include holidays. If they have not validated your debt within this period, you may send a second letter them that they have violated the provisions under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and so they should immediately remove the item from your report or you may complain against them to the Federal Trade Commission.

I agree with Carol. At the same time you should also send a dispute letter to the credit bureaus along with a copy of the receipt you have received while sending the DV letter by certified mail. The bureaus will verify the debt with the creditor and remove it from your report. You can find sample dispute letters if you visit the link letters of credit.
