Hi boobooski,

Are you talking about a single debt, or the total debt you owe? The best way to check how much debt you owe, is to check your credit report. If you are trying to find the debt amount for a particular debt, you can contact your creditor.

Hi boobooski,

Your credit report contains all your credit related information. It includes:

1) the kind of credit accounts you have (installment loan or revolving accounts).
2) your credit limits on all your credit cards.
3) your account status (listed as paid, open or closed).
4) your past payment records.
5) the amount you still owe.

You can get a free copy of your credit report, once a year from all the three major credit reporting bureaus.
