i had a family member get a chase bank credit card, and others when i found out about i called each credit card company .i explained what had happened and i paid each one an amount they agreed on.i sent the credit card company's the amount agreed on over the phone.they were all very understanding and i had no problems i wrote paid off one each one of the checks.my family member has a mental illness and i wanted to keep this in the family.the only one ive had problems with is with chase bank they stated that i hadnt talked to them and still owe over 1000 dollars i paid them over 3000 dollars this has been going on for a few years.i'm 80 years old and in bad health now chase has turned it over to a lawyer,i don't have the money to pay them ,what should i do.

Heres what I would do, I would first send a debt of validation letter that can be found in the Letters of credit which is on the right hand side of this forum. Never settle unless you have it in writing. Also make sure you have the proof of the payments you have sent them over the years. Since talking over the phone with these people did not help I would type a to the the lawer and chase bank corp office.Honestly talking over the phone sometimes does not get you anywhere because they dont care about anything but getting there money. But you have a right to see on paper what you owe and you can disputr them. Chase and the lawer has to respond with in 30 days of when you send the debt to validation letter. Make sure you send it cerified mail. I hope this helps you!!

Chase credit cards are issued by JPMorgan Chase & Co, which is one of the leading credit card issuers in the U.S. First established in 1955 as Chase Manhattan Bank, Chase grew rapidly over the years through a string of mergers and acquisitions. In December 2000, the company merged with J.P. Morgan & Co. and took its current name, JPMorgan Chase & Co. The company today is a leading global financial services firm with operations in more than 50 countries.
Because of its size, Chase offers great advantages to consumers. Chase credit cards present one of the widest selections of credit cards on the market. Whether you are looking for a 0% balance transfer card, cash back credit card, travel rewards card, or gas credit card, Chase offers a card that meets your needs, and often with some of the best terms in the business. There are all types of scams out there, bottom line is that if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is. Anytime I recieve anything like this in the mail I immediately send it to my attorney generals office. Many times I think that their are probably people out there that are thinking they hit the jackpot when it is a scam that is being played on them.

I could tell you a few things about chase. But I think they are telling on their selves now. You can't be sneaky but so long. It will soon bit you in the butt.
