Hi Socorp,

First of all why do want to notify the judge regarding that? Did the creditor or collection agency sue on falsely? Did the court send you summons? The account status will appear on the credit report itself. It is better that you go to the clerk office within the courthouse and inquire about this.

Hi socorp1

Your credit report is supposed to show the status of the debt as paid in full. There is no need for you to go out of your way and inform anyone that you have paid the debt unless you are being sued for the same debt again. First check your report and see if the account is reflecting as paid in full. If not, you should contact the creditor or the collection agency whoever you have been dealing with.

I have a few on my report that I paid off after they went into collections, they show on my report that they are paid in full and settled. Every time I apply for money I am asked about these accounts and they are over 6 years old.

For some reason potential lenders will bring it up? Do you know why this would be, can they see the entire report when they request it or do they just see a shortened version? Just curious.
