Hello Help, There is still a possibilty to settle the debt out of court. You could call the collection agency and ask if their is a way to either make a debt settlement or pay the debt off. Most will work with you since it is a lot better than the cost and time it takes to go to court.
I doubt they will drop the court case. Chances are they will just have it continued until they would see if you paid the debt. Best thing is to just call.

Hi Helpwithmycredit,

Yes, definitely. You can either call the collection agency or send a debt settlement offer letter to them. Most of the times the collection agencies agree to settle the debt out of court, since continuing a court case means wastage of time and money for them. Try and negotiate a repayment plan with the CA. But before you do that you must calculate the amount you can pay them.

Hope this will help you.
