why only through mail to dispute inquiries with experian ? and what evidence can i supply to help me dispute ?

If you think that the hard inquiry that has been listed in your credit report has not been authorized by you, first send a letter to the inquirer asking him either to verify your authorization or to remove the listing from your credit report. You may also threaten them that you may complain against them to the State Banking Commission and the State AGs office if they fail to remove the listing from the report. In most cases they remove the hard inquiry from the report if they fail to verify it.

Yes, the Fair credit reporting Act only requires authorized hard inquiries to get listed in your credit report. Whenever you apply for a new line of credit, the creditor pulls out your credit report to verify your credit worthiness. This is authorized hard inquiry and cannot be removed from your credit report before 2 years. However, if a creditor pulls out your report without your authorization, you should get it removed because such an inquiry lowers your credit score.
