This has shown up on my credit report 2 months in a row, and I dont have an account with anyone but Bank of America. I did not apply for any credit in over a year, so who gave this no name company permission to do this to me, and what action can I take since I did not apply for any credit?????

I just reported them to the BBB. I paid my credit card off, and then went to check my credit report about a month later and found a 30 days late $7 charge. I called the company, and the guy apologized and took it off as a balance. I never once recieved a bill for this by the way. I tried to dispute it with experian and they wouldn't let me. How can they charge someone after they have paid their credit card off and not send them a bill? What a horrible company.

I use wachovia and I was told by my banker that wachovia sold my credit card to fia csna and there were a bunch of mix ups when this process occured. Make sure you call your wachovia banker and make sure you're back with them instead of fia.

It shows on inquiry section on my credit report. I belive that every time I apply for credit card, the credit card institution inquire via FIA CSNA. that is why FIA CSNA shows same month as credit card institution shows.

I received a "hard" inquiry from FIA CSNA to Trans Union after I used a balance transfer check. Apparently, they want to see if you can handle it.

Allstate Insurance checks your TransUnion credit report via FIA CSNA. If you applied for insurance with Allstate, your mystery is solved.

I just got my credit report and I too have a FIA CSNA account. I've never had a Bank of America credit card, or anything to do with Wachovia. I've primarily used Chase/Bankone, Capitalone, and just applied for an American Express. When I was 15 y.o. I had a Credit Union One account, but that's not a credit card company.....I understand that FIA CSNA owns multiple credit card companies, but I can't think of any other Credit Cards/Bank contacts I've had. I have a couple Khols/Gap credit cards but that comes up in the credit report elsewhere, and their balances seem correct. The FIA CSNA account has a balance of $30,000 which more than doubles my student loans! Again, I've never had a BofA card, and I can't imagine ever letting my balance get that large. Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I would start by disputing the account with the CRA's, and/or contacting FIA CNSA for more info.

Perhaps this is an error, or perhaps this is a case of ID theft.

A sizeable direct deposit from FIA CSNA showed up in my checking account in my local bank. I'm not going to try to tell them how to run their business, if it stays 30 days it's MINE!!

Comments??

For YOUR sake, you need to make sure they get their money back. If not, you can be sued for it...the courts don't care if it was a bonafide error--it's not your money.

Its really not your money. Contact them and ask them to take their money back if you don't owe them anything. Some day they will definitely know and will gladly sue you.
