I just recieved a large amount direct deposit from FIA CSNA this morning. From the previous postings I have read, I don't belong to Bank of America but have an account with Wachovia, can this have something to do with the deposit? It looks great in my account, but i know i have to dispute it.

Hi bdh

Are you and workin the same person, if so then I think to get it out from your credit report, you should call either the collection agency or the Bank of America.

I suggest you to notify Bank of America about it. Don't withdraw and spend the money, rather wait for their reply. You may ask for a statement from the bank and check your last deposit from it.

Rebecca,

If this isnt your account simply do two things
1)dispute that listing with all 3 CBs
2) send a Dv letter to the company. If you look twords the back of your CR it will list the phone number and address.

You can send letters to companys that have made inquirys into your credit asking for proof you allowed them to look into your file.

Yes, you can definitely dispute the listing with the three credit bureaus and can send a debt validation letter to the CA. The CA will reply to the DV letter from where you can find all the details.

The full form of FIA is FIA card service, one of the leading credit card providers in United States. If you want to get in touch with them, you can call them at their toll free number 1800.655.1491.

I found this on my personal credit as well. I had incorporated and opened a B of A Business Credit Card, but the business went belly up and defaulted on the business credit card. My PERSONAL credit is ~720. The collections people are telling me that they will go after me PERSONALLY even though this credit card was through a corporation. Can they do this?

Un-incorporated, I think they will have to go after the business not you personally.
