I can not imagine that they wouldn't, maybe they just don't know where he is or how to get in contact with him. If they knew they would be on him.

Yes preety much but this poor boy can win for losing. He gets his life started on track and gets a plan and something throws him off. Most recently he had past due arrears on child support on a child that was adopted. All he had to do is pay off what was owed from the past and this case would have been closed with no future support. So he borrows the money $1200 and sends it to the county he owes the support with their knowledge they are to use this to pay off his dues. Then he just made $100 payments to the person who paid it for him.
Low and behold after all is said and done they only kept $40 towards this bill and sent the rest off to another county where he owes ALOT more past child support. Now he still has all these payments plus the payment to the person who paid it off. I really felt bad. They knew it was to be applied to Clearfield and not Indiana and they still did this. He even sent it to their dept. with a letter that he called and set it up to be paid off.
When he called to see why they did this and to get it the way it was suppose to do they just apologized and said "we are sorry this mistake happened but there is no way to get the money back" Ever wonder why people get discusted?

That would really piss you off, when you are trying to do the right thing and then they pull something like this. Did the money go to the mothers or to the county assistance office. If he has a good relationship with the mothers maybe they would give it back to him and he could try it again, just a thought.

No it went to the welfare office since two of the mothers are on welfare. The one that works never ecieved a dime any time any money was collected from withholding it or income taxes. Got to pay Uncle Sam his due first. I do not believe this is fair. I think if money is taken it should be split equally between all parties. Just another way the working person is overlooked.

I hope he is being more careful these days, the state probably figures that they provide food, healthcare, clothing and that the taxpayer deserves some money back. I wish they would take the income tax of everyone on assistance that only work for a few months out of the year or at least make them more eligible for the month that they get that fat income tax check.

Okay ther is someone or something playing Houdini here again. I answered this psot and a couple others last night and now my reply has vanished. I can not figure out why this happens to me from time to time. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I remember telling you SD about how it was great that he stepped up to the plate and became responsible. This was happening pretty frequently before. I hate putting effort into a post and then my reply dissappears the next time I get on!!!!

I have not had it happen, unless a moderator is doing it, but if they do it they usually leave a post in red as to why they did it, so that would be there. Don't know what to tell you fireyone.
