This credit card company is absolutely terrible. I applied for this card August 21,2007 and was approved for $70 limit but have yet to recieve the card. I've called 5x since then and they were saying that my application was still pending.I just got off the phone with customer service(Supervisor) and now they are saying they never recieved my application, when I mentioned that I was reporting them to the BBB all of a sudden they found it,but it's still pending because they just recieved it on Sept 26,2007 a month later after I applied online.

Not only that when I applied for the card I made a copy of everything from the 1st page to the approval decision I recieved online August 21,2007 just incase something like this happens. I have all the proof to show they are nothing but a BIG RIP OFF. Oh I also forgot to mention that when I applied online back on August 21,2007 they WERE NOT asking for banking information.

My husband applied and was approved for $300,when he recieved the card he was told that he had to send in $4.95 to begin using his card and it takes 7 days to process. And after sending in his $4.95 to activate his card, they then tell him that he has to open a bank account in order to use the card. That would not have been a problem if when he applied for the card as I did online the application process INCLUDED ASKING FOR BANKING INFO,it NEVER asked for banking information NOT ONE TIME.

Now at this point so happenly the company has changed the policy and everyone that applies for this card has to have a banking account as of August 22,2007.Go Figure 1 day after I applied the policy changes and the website that I applied on is No Longer Accepting New Members. If you put all this together and think really hard, they are full of crap.

Now for anyone who has recieved the card and has no complaints, I'm truly happy for you.Good Luck!!! But for people like myself who is trying to rebuild their credit or improve it, WATCH OUT FOR CROOKS.

If anyone has applied for this card before August and was approved without BANKING INFO,you know what I'm talking about and what I'm saying is not a lie.

And the web page that I applied on was CreditCardExpo.com,if you look it up you will see what i'm talking about. This has been posted since August 22,2007.

Thats pathetic. How can they receive an online application a month later to the application date? Thats absolute fraud. Ketia..welcome to the forum and I appreciate that you have expressed your concern for all. There are people who are happy with the card but I am sure that in the recent months things have gone Topsy turvy.
As you are trying to improve your credit I am just giving my inputs here.
* Beware of scams.
* Keep a check on your credit file and keep it clean of unnecessary items.
* Pay off existing debts on time
* Try and use varied kinds of cards like master cards, visa, gasoline cards. a retail store card or departmental store card can also be of help.
* Try not to exceed 25% of the credit limit. 10% should be the goal but its not always possible to maintain that
* Do not apply for too many credit cards which encourages frequent hard inquiries on your report which results in lowering of your credit score.
* STAY AWAY from PAYDAY loans. They are of no help

I hope these points can help you further. Smile

The above credit card is a total rip-off due to the fact the company misleads you to belive that the card holder has a $300.00 credit limit, when in fact the above credit card company charges you a $150.00 fee just to acvicate the card. THEN the above credit card company will then deduct $25.00 processinhg fees from your bank account, withouth your permission. If that is not illeagal then Bill Clinton was not lying when he said I did not have sex with that woman.

Both my cousin and i have this crd. I just closed mine which was a pain to do. My credit is 3 yrs new, so I thought, I'd try this card just to help my revolving debt experience. Nope!!! I got the card in July and they just reportrd it to the bureaus for the first time 4 days ago! I had to call and beg for them to report it. My cousin's credit is very new, so he appied and got the $70.00 dollar card. He's actually had his card 2 mos lomger than me and they still have not reported his. He got a chase stdent and a capital one since then with $500.00 limits each (unsecured) and these cards have already reported.
Imagine's parent compant is bank of delaware and there cust service is in India. They are sooo.... rude and don't have decent cust service skills. I would stear clear of them. I have had very good success with Orchard bank, 3 yrs now and they raised my limit from $300.00 to $1500.00 in 3 yrs. (not huge fees either.) Also first premier card. Not as good with the fees, but still they report fast and accurate. If you are a student and have very new credit, try Chase. Hope this helps! : )

I've had the Imagine card, for over a year now. As soon as I 'activated' it, it showed on my CR. I know several people who have this card. Some of them are having problems, some are not. I have Orchard, also. In my opionion, great card.

You are lucky Wendy. Actually what happens is when people have some good experiences they are happy and dont feel the need to report the positive points but if they face trouble they report it. Thats why we hear more about the rip-offs rather than the positives.
This is just my POV.

I get your point, Laura. Makes sense to me. Even if people ARE having good experiences, shouldn't they post it?......so other people can get a 'outlook' on the issue? But, yea, I get what your saying. They can be LOTS more people happy with this credit card, but, they're not letting someone know. So.that means, all people are seeing are the 'negative' posts.

I must say from personal experience overall the card has been good to me. When I first applied online I receive $350.00 credit limit with a $30.00 monthly payment deducted from my checking account. I have paid late a few times but I still was able to get an increase. As of today my credit limit is $500.00. I had this card maybe a year tops. The only downfall for me is, when you seem to have a problem and you call the 800 number you always get a person that don't speak good english but that's it. Everything else is good overall. Wink

Never mind. Customer service is outsourced most of the time. You might have come across someone who does not speak English. Smile. Its good that the card worked for you. It did for Wendy as well.

hey..BKchick,.....I've never asked for an 'increase'. And, THIS question, I just don't know. Do you pay a fee for an increase? I know some cards you do. I've just been happy at the limit I'm at now ( $300.00). Never asked about the ' increase thing'.
