I don't trust these credit repair cards, they always charge an outrageous amount. I look into them and did not pursue them. Instead I tried for a retail card and got it. It also puts a different tradeline on my credit report.

Yes SD..try a store charge if you are looking to build your credit. It will take (sometimes) a few tries at the same place but usually by the third they will approve you. I worked in the retail clothing inustry for a few years and seen it happen over and over again. I asked my boss about it and she says this is usually how it works. It is a higher interest rate but hey when you are starting from the bottom up (like I was) it really does work and help a persons credit report after the card is in good standing for a few months.

Thanks. I'll try that when it's the 'right time.' I'm trying to work on deleting some things from my CR. Some VERY old debts, that the SOL's already expired. Can you suggest anywhere I can apply for?

Thise old debts SD you need to let go. Don't bother paying on them because it will restart the SOL and it really isn't going to help if they showed they are paid. They are a bad mark regardless so let them be.
The store I was talking about is really big here in pA and I am sure you have heard of it...Fashion Bug.

Are you talking about the Imagine CC, JEFF?! If you are, I've had my account 'closed', with them, for a while. Maybe someone else can 'shed some light' on that subject.

Jeff, Have you callled anyone at the Image card company and explianed this situation? Soemtimes they will be understanding and will not penalize you for the missed payment. I do think if it happened to you rrhen chances are it happened to someone else also. It maybe a good idea to run it through Google or Yahoo. Sometimes people will post things therre too.

When I was having trouble, with Imagine, I DID try and call Customer Service. I was 'on hold' FOREVER!!!!..i talked to someone who I couldn't understand, so, I guess I wasn't getting my 'point across'. It was frustrating...that's for sure.
