a court order was issue 2008 regarding a bill from the Post Office credit union for $586.00. This bill was renewed from July 1996 to February 2008. I'm on SSDI. Do I really have to pay this lawyer? this bill is 12yrs old.
well they can't garnish your ssdi but you may have to fight with them over your checking account. the thing is that if you come into money (lottery, insurance settlement or possibly retirement) they will collect then.
