Hi Collectingdebts,
Yes, as the creditor you can pull the credit report of your debtor against whom you have a judgment. Being a creditor gives you some right to inquire about the credit report of the debtor. However, you might face a problem if you are pulling it for other reasons apart from debt collection purpose. _________________ All the Best

Hi collectingdebts
You can definitely pull the debtor's credit report (as the creditor). Is there more to your question? _________________ Keep in touch

Justin, I appreciate your reply to my inquiry. My only goal is obtain possible information to begin collections (writ / lien / garnishment / etc.). I will definitely use only for collection purposes.
Is there any guidelines or regualtions you can refer me to that I can read, that allows me to collect on a judgment by pulling the defendant credit information?
My view is it is logical and stands to reason that I should be able to since I prevailed. Because if I were a business that prevailed, we know businesses pull the debtors credit to generate a strategy to collect.
Thanking you in advance for your time. |

| I have to hand in to you, COLLECTINGDEBTS. I've seen CA's, on this Forum, who seem pretty nasty in their 'approach' to collecting debt. You, on the other hand, are doing quite the opposite!! Good for you!! You seem like you want to handle this in a professional way....'hats off to you'. |
