Subject: Documents To Show The CRA

Would it be wise to send a copy of the paper the court gave me showing the case was discontinued to the CRA in disputing this alledged debt on my credit report, or should I send them a copy of the civil outcome from the court web page. Each one shows the outcome of the case. The plaintiff was a no-show. They were the ones who sued me, all the threatening letters, then don't show. Any advice would be appreciated.

You could make it part of your dispute case, it should be removed if they don't validate. When you file the dispute, make sure you send them a copy to show that it was dismissed, they will attempt to verify the information with the collector who can not lie if the paperwork is in the credit reporting offices face right? I would do it in a form of a dispute.

Knowledge, Be sure you keep all documents pertaining to the case in a safe place. Some of these debt collectors can become real pain in the buts. They seem to think the laws do not apply to them or they will resell the debt. Sometimes when a debt is resold the new cllector will try to make the account look current by chanf=ging the date of last payment. This is why it is important to keep all the data you can.

I keep a file in my filing cabinet, I have had to pull it out more than once and send them a paid in full. Seems like they keep selling paid off accounts to new collectors, what a waste of time.

I started a few years ago, actually quite a few. When we purchased our new home we were not informed the company we were buying from was about ready to sell out. So they did this with on a month of us buying our double wide. We found out the original lender was not forwarding our payments to the new company after a sherriff showed up with an eviction notice. Thank goodness we had all the bank records to show the payments. After that I thought just how easy it would be to have to repay something if you didn't keep good records.
