i need a home loan and would like your opinion before I start applying and possibly get turned down. I got my credit scores a few months ago 739-transunion 635-experian, have not gotten equifax yet, they are giving me problems apparantly I'm not answering their verification questions to their satisfaction. when I got these scores I had 3 credit card write offs. 2 show as paid and one is not but is past the SOL for collection. I have never been late on a mortgage payment. I have since gotten one of the paid w/offs deleted as well as 2 late payments on another account. Based on these 2 scores and the deletions made since to improve these scores do you see a problem in me getting a mortgage?

I believe I would wait and get you equifax score first. Because they are usually where most places pull from and it could be lower than the rest because of this. I know mine always has been. And please review your report with equifax and make sure everything is reported correctly. They are not my favorite people right now. But anyway after you get all of your reports and they are correct get your scores as well and when applying let them know your scores and they should be able to tell you if you will qualify or not without pulling your credit each time and lowering your scores. Now if you do qualify then of course they will have to pull it. I believe I have read if your scores are in the 700 range you will get a better rate.
