Subject: Auto loan charged off account closed never late no missed pa

Hello , heres the strory , we filed chap 7 BK and we are to reaffirm our mortgage and auto loans which never ever have been even a day late, . I went to make my monthly payment and found out the loan had been sent to "charge off" and closed. What is going to happen now? Are they going to take my car? I had no notification that they were going to close my account..

Hi J,

If the auto loan has not been included in the bankruptcy, the company may come after you for not paying the money. However, as you have always been current on your payments, you can dispute this item. First you need to inquire into this, as to why the loan was charged off. However, can you tell me if you have included the loan in your bankruptcy?
