I cannot believe that such a check for such a small amount could cause such upheaval and problems for someone. Why would a merchant even take the time to prosecute for a $10.00 check, it seems like it would cost 10 times that to take it to court.

But if you are found guilty then you get the court costs, so it won't cost them anything to take you to court for it.

I thought about it after I wrote that, plus many of these types of places have LOTS of cases to take to court at one time. So it is really worth their time and money in the long run.

Yep, and they usually use one law firm that they pay one said amount to, so if the attorney is already on the payroll and the defendant ends up paying the court cost, it is a win, win, win for them.

You need to send an email to admin@creditmagic.com, tell them that you want to cash out. If you have a paypal address put it in the email if not give them the name and address that you want the check sent to. Hope this helps.

Good natured gave excellent advice here. I do know how you feel I had a lot of problems understanding how this works and sometimes felt really stupid. Just follow what she said and you will be in good shape. I e-mailed them from my yahoo mail and saved the e-mail address in my address book there. that way I always had it. Need anything, just ask. I will always be glad to help.

I always try to encourage people to come back. I started here to ask a simple question and a couple other topics caught my eye. I decided to look at them and the more I looked the more I was amazed at how complex the credit world was. There are so many things to know about the credit world that can protect you or help you avoid problems down the road. I found that having this knowledge was very beneficial. One main thing that I always am glad I leardned was how these payday lenders work. A couple times I have thought about turning to them in the past but never did. I thank God after reading about them that I didn't.
