i started a job 5/28/09 and 3 weeks larter the bulider said that they were not ready for paint yet so... 50 weeks later 5/13/10 the bulider calls and says they r now ready for paint in this time i went bankrupted and lost my painting lic CAN I NOW BE SUED? legail i can not paint in the state of calif so i can not finnish the job

Hi Mark,

I agree with cinnamngrl. If you give back their money, they will not sue you. However, you have mentioned that you have gone bankrupt. So, do you mean that you have filed bankruptcy?
