We have verious way to control our expenditure.
1 We have to list our expenditure then it will be sort in nesessery & unnasesser item. We can minimise unwanted expenditure. |

I THINK IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE HIGH TASTE AND BE YThere are many way to control our expenditure. And this is good question. I have many way to control expenditure. If you keep the my ideas ,you will control your expenditure.
Look
First of all you collect all your needs. Than you sort that important and unimportant. Later you select most important . Than carefully expend money only for that.
Second one is if you have need, you can expend. But without need do not expend money. Always expend money with good planning, good thinking.
You should expend money with good think. If you have daughter or son , you tell him how important the money is! Give him good thought about money.OURSELF |

One of the first step in controlling your expenditure is to get a buget in place.
Document all your incoem and expenditure for every month. Keep a spreadsheet with the expenses for the months
Once you do it for couple of months or weeks you cna see where you are sepndign and evaluate if any of the spending si unnecessary and cut on itmes which are really not required
See how it will help you to save money
If you know what you are spending on, then you will start thining about them and will have an idea on how to lower that expenditure |

Also look at your common expenses like
1. Gas ( CAR)
2. Gas ( Cooking and heating)
3. Electricity
4. Car and Home Insuarnce
5. Cable
6. Internet
7. Cell
Just a few common things and then call these companies and see if you can negotiate a better deal or swicth to someoen who cna offer you a better deal |

I've found out that a good way of controlling what I spend is to write everything down. It's hard at first, to keep track of every penny, but once you get the hang of it, you'll see exactly where your money is going. From there, you can figure out where you're spending too much and where you can cut back on costs. _________________ Ski Chalet | Virtual Office Florida |

You have to plan the expendature and save the money for future is the important thing.I will prefer you to check your expenses before going to bed. Check and plan your dailly expenses and monitor them.....
From this you can know your dailly and monthly expenses then you can catogirise the expenses which is must for you and the expenses you can avoid.
This will help you to judge your finance.
This will definately help |

I agree with everyone here. Our problem is that with our 1 income household, the money we live on is overtime & commission checks. Regular salary checks allow for like $40 after bills are paid per month. Needless to say, WE HAVE to use our money wisely and make the overtime & commission checks drag out.
One of the biggest things I will say that has helped us is often overlooked. When I got laid off in april 2009, i had no choice but to cut back on expenses. I pretty much try to think about how we lived in our first apt when we started with nothing. I ALWAYS shopped at the dollar tree! When I was employed & we had extra money to throw around, I bought the expensive Toilet paper, paper towels, conditioner, soap, etc. NOW I shop exclusively at the dollar tree for everything besides most grocery items; unless the items arent at the dollar tree. Then, I look for the most affordable options. THE ONLY ITEMS that I pay more for are razors [we both have sensitive skin], deoderant, and our body sprays.
It may not seem like that big of a deal, but for the price of conditioner that I paid before: I can buy a bunch of necessities for our household.
This allows us to allocate those savings towards other things.
An idea that you can also try, you could neglect 1 party/outing a month & the money you would have spent put it aside. This will allow for some extra cash for savings. Passing up one outing/party isn't much. |

| I find that all my expenses are higher in the winter time, with heating I try to budget through out the year but it seems like I never budget out enough, then the electric bill is always higher no matter what I do. I really do try to put money aside but something always comes up so I usually end up paying them a little late in the winter months. I am with an electric company that is going to set me up on a budget plan where I will pay the same amount all year long, then I won't have the issue next winter. I get cabin fever in the winter and tend to dwell on things also, so these bills drive me nuts when I can't get out. Maybe try to work something out with your electric company like I am going to so you don't have the higher bills in the winter. |

| I think that everyones utilities are higher in the winter time, you fingure you need the elctric to run the heat more in the winter than in the summer, you are wise to get on a budget plan and thank you for suggesting that to the forum. great idea. |

Hi homerefinance,
What others have said in this post is true. You should first make a copy of your monthly income and expenses (any kind). Then you should make sure that you set aside a sum into a savings account. You shouldn't touch this account until in dire need. Last but not the least you will have to try to cut back on at least some of your expenses, mostly the variable ones.
However the most important thing is that no body can tell you exactly the way to save your money other than you yourself. Try to keep a track of all your expenditure, money saving will become easier.
Thanks. |

| Cut down your extra expenses which are not necessary it will help you to save the money for you and the others. I am doing the job since 9 months and still could not save a single dollar in my pocket. But I hope I can save it now. |

| I don't save a lot of money each month but I do save some. Most of my extra money goes towards paying off my mortgage early. But I figured all my bills up for the month and take a certain amount to live on each month and the rest goes to mortgage. Now for some reason if I have to take money out of savings I always pay it back. So I treat it like a loan even if it takes me six months to do so I pay it back. But of course that means less expense money for the month until it is paid back but if you borrowed it from someone else you would have to pay it back so why not pay yourself back. |
