Investing has always been confusing to me. I have a 401k and let the pros handle it.

Usually companies will set up a retirement fund through companies that handle specifically that.

These days a lot of people are investing in blue chip funds that offer good returns. Investment actually depends a lot on your risk-taking abilities.

1. Where to Invest for the Short-Term.

2. Medium-Range Investing.

3. Long-Term Investments.

The best place to invest money at any given time will depend on your financial goals. This includes both how long you want to invest and how much risk you are willing to take on. Typically, the longer you plan to leave your money in the markets, the more risk you can shoulder. Before parking your money anywhere, you need to decide if your plans include short term, middle range, or long-term investments.

Nowadays, It's so difficult to invest especially in this recession period. But taking risk is extremely challenging and in the end you will be a better person. Try to research first regarding that matter to understand some procedures just to have peace of mind. Goodluck!

Wow, this is really interesting... I want to invest my money too... I have asked my brother about it, and He mentioned to me that I have to start first with low risk, like mutual funds or bonds. then i should learn from it. He mentioned that I also need to get a good money manager by checking his/her achievements and should always go for the tenured ones. Is this doable if I would go for low risk first?

The very best place to invest money is start your own business and keep re investing in it. It is the hardest thing but it is the safest thing. Think about it - to invest in something you have to know about it fairly well - the trends, the reasons, the industry. So if that is what you need to do than why not do that to build your own business ? In many ways that is the safest route .

Other than that you can use some funds to build your business credit. Even if you have a small home based business that is not really bringing in money you can still have lines of credit in addition to your personal but separate from your personal credit. Look into " Aimanzul articles " and you will find tons of free advise. Do not pay anyone to do it.
