Do not work with ClearOne Debt Relief!!!!

I went on their website and filled out an inquiry form in which I SPECIFICALLY asked not to be contacted over the phone. The next day I received no less than 12 phone calls from them, and during each call I expressed my wish to not be contacted over the phone, only to be called again the next hour. THEN, as if that wasn't enough, I got this email from one of their representatives:
jennifer,

What did you expect you filled out the information online just trying to help.

Maybe you should be careful about what you do online. no need to get upset about firms calling you. you asked for information

Good luck.

Sincerely,

Are you kidding me?
The tone of this email gives me serious doubt as to their credibility, they had a vulture-like decent on me, and I would NEVER work with them after the way I was treated!

OMG!! How rude!! This kind of e-mail, would put up a 'red flag' for me, too. These company wants people's business?! I don't think so!! If someone treated ME this way. I wouldn't give them the 'time of day'.

my husband and I are doing clear one and they are awesome. The e-mail
was right though and if you dont' want to be contacted, t hen you shouldn't of did it. they need to talk to you and explain stuff and its hard
doing that through e-mail. maybe the 12 phone calls was a little much,
but like she said, they were just trying to help.

Clear one debt is the last thing you should be dealing with. Do more research and then take a plunge.

Mon, 03/17/2008 - 05:37 Permalink

That was a pretty rude email, most companies would have said sorry for bothering you or something to that affect.

Hope you find a company that is good to deal with. You can actually do this all yourself if you take the time to read up and educate yourself. Give yourself a shot first and see how you do. Go to the debt forum for some really good advice on how to start, they have a whole "do it yourself" section.

I am looking to consolidate my debt into one payment. I haven't had a lot of success with debt consolidation companies. Anyone know of companies that specialize in loans for people with bad credit history but good current work history and the income to match it?

Kelly,

If you can afford the time the best thing for you to do is to learn as much as you can about debt collection and the laws around it. Read through the debt and the credit forum, there are many, many do it yourself techniques, visit the forums and post questions through out the process and learn to do it yourself. You can do it all yourself, and all of us are here to help you. You can deal with your debt with out doing a consolidation. So if you care to go this route, post more detail on your situation and see what comes out of it here and on the debt forum. goodluck.

I too feel for you Kelly. There is help out there but the best help you can get is the help you give yourself in understanding credit rights and laws. Be sure to do as GN listed above. I think it will help you make the right decisions. I also hope that any debt colsolidation comapnies you have choosen or chose to work with is listed as a good standing company. You can find this info on the BBB website. Also be aware that what most of these companies do you can do yourself and keep the extra income in your paocket.

There are good agenciesw out there that can help you just got to do your research. I just check on my last free pull and only have one negative that should fall off soon..in 2010...It took alot of stress and hard work but I did it all myself. You should relize that you also have this option and at leat this way you do not have to pay anyone.

How did you do it fireyone??? are you just waiting it out and avoiding the collectors???

Please advise the rest of us, I have a few that I would like to see fall off my report, I need to pull one and see where I am, may do that this week some time and see what is up. Hopefully better than the last time I looked, It has been a while.

I only had two negatives that were really bad, which were from credit cards. I waited a couple years after defaulting and finally got credit through Fashion Bug. A year after that or so I goet credit from Dell. The one credit card fell off and there is only one to go. I just waited it out. It was hard because they kept calling my relatives and other collection tactics. Usually to start rebuilding you just need one store that reports to the bureaus to approve you. After you establish a years worht of good payments with that card you can slowly work up to more. Also I piggybacked on my husbands credit through Citi financial. We had to go for a small loan and put one of the vehicle titles up for collateral. They put me on with him as a second person and it shows on the positive side of my credit report as paid off early and always on time. That was probaly my main boost. Citi was offering low interest to new customers and when we applied they suggested this route for me to atart rebuilding. I told them I was afraid of getting the loan turned down due to my credit but they advised me as long as his credit was fairly good and we had the collateral it would not be a problem and it wasn't.

I contracted with a Company called DEBT RELIEF of AMERICA. The Office, at the time was located in Dallas, Texas at 12201 Merit Dr. #620. I am not sure if they are still located in Texas as of this date. Unfortunatly, they defrauded me out of thousands of dollars. Specifically, I allowed them to receive monthly payments, via automatic with-draw for several years, from my Bank account. In interest of knowledge, and mayby a warning, the money was forwarded to a Bank called "Rocky Mountain Bank & Trust". In total, only sixteen hundred dollars ($1600.00) was paid to my Creditors. The rest is unaccounted for. I am hopeful that in the near future, FRAUD and THEFT charges will be a reality for all involved! In closing, be careful when dealing with any Debt Consolidation Company! Read the fine print, get validations from previous Clients, check with your local BBB. Most importantly, question if they are now, or ever have been, associated with a Company that was known as "DEBT RELIEF of AMERICA" once located in Dallas, Texas. For more info see; "South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs" web page. click on "DEBT RELIEF of America".

They are still located at Texas. My first question is that how much money have to already paid to Debt Relief America? Whenever you go for debt consolidation service, you should always have in writing about the terms and conditions of their service. Most debt consolidation service charge a monthly fees along with your monthly payments towards the debts. Now, how much amount they have charged each month as their fees is a matter of concern.

Is there any to tell if any of this quick fix companies are any good All say they will fix your credit ,you send your money and never see any thing good happen to your credit. If anyone knows of A good company please post the information....... Thank You

Hi Yvonne,

If you want to fix your credit, it is better to do it yourself, rather than opting for any credit fixing companies. You may first get a copy of your credit report, and check if there are any negative listings and wrong listings. If you find any wrong listing, you can dispute this with the credit bureaus. However, if there are any negative listings, try to pay the dues along with the "Pay for delete" agreement. Payment history matters the most in improving the credit score.

As it is quite easy to repair credit through self help, it is better to avoid any company offering credit repair.

Hope this helps.

I used this this debt relief service and it did nothing but ruin my credit!!!! I got sued twice by the creditors and they did not settle one account for me!!! Creditors will settle with you for less than this agency trust me, I settled for 3 grand less!!!!!!!!! I paid clear one over 2 g's in fees and my credit went to crap. If you owe them money they will settle with you!!! They have no secret power and the creditors hate those companies. ....

Hi,

Before joining any credit repair service you need to check out whether or not:

1. The agency is accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
2. The agency is a non-profit one.
3. The agency has been in business for atleast 10 years.
4. The agency has certified counselors.
5. The agency is going to provide you with all the details of the work, and your budgeting.
6. The agency is asking for fees before really helping you in your problem, etc. You should never go for any such agency asking for such fees.

Thanks,

Aaron

Thank you very much for the heads up on this company..I too thought about going with Clear One...I made a quick phone call to them to get info as to how they go about doing things..I'm glad I didn't provide info to them, I almost hung up on them I think...It is a little difficult to manage credit issues alone but I believe in the end only ourselves will keep our best interest at heart and know what is best..

Hi,

In response to your concern regarding Clear One Debt Relief, any company you are contemplating doing business with, always check out the company on the BBB prior to submitting an application to validate there business practices.

However, no company has the right to belittle you or send you rude e-mails when you advised them directly that you only want to be contacted via e-mail. The above e-mailed response is completely unprofessional & the continues phone calls back to back is just as bad as a debt collector. You contacted a company to get help, not get harrassed.

You may want to look into a 501-C3 non-profit organization that offers free financial counseling or advice. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested.

Respectfully,

Heather Gimmy

These credit fixing companies can’t do anything, if your credit scores are too low, you may be charged too highly by these credit repair companies, sometimes you may find faults even after they have repaired your credit and lastly you can do your credit fixing yourself if you know how do it yourself. Thus, no need to waste your money on these credit repair companies.

Need to find a reliable company. I have tried to deal with the credit card companies and that would work except I do not even have the smaller pile of money that would take to closed this out. I just need a reliable company that will do the consolidation and negotitations with my credit card companies and finish this out. When I finish with this I will not use a credit card that I cannot pay off in ninety days ever again (by the Grace of God).

Happy New Year my name is Alexis from Texas I live in NY. I’m a divorced mom of 2 kids with a substantial income. We were going to lose our home because I didn’t have the credit score to purchase it. I had already worked with a hacker that almost wrecked my account with zero result. He also introduced one of his friends who tried to help but couldn’t because of the new security on the credit bureaus, they were unsuccessful but if I paid $1500 more, they would send me a cloned Credit Card and it is nothing but another big mess. I continued making more research on whom to help me with my credit until I read some reviews from people talking about Ghost Virus and how he help people who have alarming poor credit. I texted on +1 (205) 418 0498) and emailed Ghostvirus7890@gmail.com asking if everything I heard and read were legit that I am interested in his service ASAP. I got a responds and further explained the process. We moved on and Ghost actually did all he said he would do within 8 business days and now I’m happy sitting on an average high credit score of 790 across the 3 major credit bureaus with no negative items on it. You can connect with Ghost for a Credit Repair assistant.

My score increased tremendously in a short amount of time. I would definitely recommend his service to my friends, family, and business colleagues. I checked my scores some couple of weeks ago, they ran down in the low to the mid 400s. I was struggling having a hard time getting approved for anything due to a layoff I had last year so I fell behind on my bills and now I am struggling trying to get my score back up so I can purchase a home. I surf the internet in search of help and I met with AUTOLINKS CREDIT SERVICES and I explained to them my credit situation and they promised to help me get my scores back on track so I can be qualified for the home purchase. After some couple of days later, they cleared the bills on my credit profile and effected the changes across all 3 credit bureaus and finally raised my scores to 793. I bought the house after a week and I am very happy today with my family. You can contact them and have them fix your credit issues as fast as possible. Contact via: autolinkscreditservices@hotmail.com / +1 (520) 800-6528 .

My husband and I had some couple of negative items with relatively low score that disqualified us from everything. So we searched for a credit expert on credit magic to help us fix our credit score, we agreed to trust 760PLUS CREDIT SCORE after we have read good reviews and trusted recommendations from people about him, we explained the negative items on our report to him and he gave us a period of one week. Eventually, we finally got an excellent result within 7 days .Our score were increased to 780 and 805 respectively .All debt were marked as paid, late payment appeared as on time payment and other negative item were deleted. I recommend the hacker to people that want to fix their credit problem. Write him via: 760PLUSCREDITSCORE@GMAIL.COM or text 1(304) -774 -5902.
