I think alot of the 'rebate' CC's you have to have decent credit to get approved for them. Any suggestions from anyone? I've been looking around for 'store CC's' that would take bad credit (for a 'credit builder'..kind of thing) and haven't found anything. Any suggestions?

Soemtimes it is best to kepp trying one store and not applying at several. Stores have qutas of credit cards to fill and when they are behind they will sometimes approve a person that doesn't have the best credit. I am not real sure if they will be doing that now though due to the economy and other factors. More and more people are falling behind on credit card debt...even ones with great credit due to jobs losses and stuff so credit card companies may be wary.

That is what I had to do, I just got a fashion bug card, it ain't much but it is a start on building a payment history with a different type of tradeline. I just charge a little on it here and there, pay it off and start off agian.

Your very welcome SD. Just remember they do charge a higher interest rate but sooner or later you would have had to deal with a demon like that anyway. I guess it is part of debtor punishment. I always remind people as long as they continually work to rebuild their credit then a few years from now this will all be behind you. Yes you got to deal wiht the consquences until then but the sooner you gert working at it the better off you will be. Don't forget also that sometimes it takes applying a couple times before you are approved. Good luck and let me know how it works out for you.

I was looking into CC rewards, for a friend of min. It seems tat the CC's, that you can get 'rewards' from are those for 'good' or 'excellent' credit (doesn't seem to far when you are trying to re-build your credit).

This is not a CC, but....I have a K-mart 'rewards card'. As you buy items at K-mart, you get a 5 of yoursale put on your 'rewards card'. Mine is adding up!! Smile..which is a 'good' thing!! I'm continuing to try Reward CC's for 'bad credit' , but, sadly can't find anything. Any advice from anyone??
