Can I receive a loan with 3 pending payday loans?

I need at least $400 deposited today. I have 3 pending payday loans. I am very, very, desperate. Could I borrow at least $400 until my next payday?

It always gets me that so many people are trying to get out of the PDL cycle on these kind of sites and yet others come on looking for what we are trying to get rid of. Go figure.

I am not entirely sure if this person is asking to borrow money from someone here. The subject line is asking if she/he can take out a loan with the 3 pending payday loans. Meaning, if she was to apply for a loan somewhere and they pulled up her/his info and saw the 3 payday loans pending, would they still consider her/him for the loan?

Then again, maybe she/him is in fact asking for money. Just my poin of view =)

A payday loan company will only loan you one at a time, but you may have loans from different payday loan companies at one time. I don't advise that you take this route though, you should try to get a consolidation loan to pay all the ones that you have off, then you will have one payment that you can afford.

I know that I have used the payday lenders in cases were I have just wasted money and then needed them to cover my butt, so when I get in that position I have no choice but to use them. I have been doing pretty good not using them for a long time and plan to stay that way as long as I can.

WHy would you take ANOTHER PDL if you cant afford the first 3? Make a payment arrangement with the loan officers and pay your secured debt and high intrest debt first. Your credit will take a hit but atleast you wont accrue as much debt if you do this sooner rather then later. That is unless your financail situation is changing soon. I.e recieving a large sum of $$ or starting a new job

Some things I guess call for desperate measures. I have heard to much about these type of loans. What is there interest rate anyway?

Tue, 07/22/2008 - 01:16 Permalink

OMG---the interest rate is astronomical its like 450%. If you get an advance for $300, they will give you $255 the $45 is the interest. So on your next payday you pay back $300. So say you get paid twice a month, that is $45 each time ($90) times however many months before you pay it in full and you can see why PDLs are such an endless cycle to get caught up in.

Hi macmy3sons
I agree with CMBV. Taking pay day loans for each and every need is not a good idea. You may fall in a vicious circle of debt by taking pay day loans regularly without paying off one and then opting for the other. If you need $400 immediately, try some other way rather than opting for pay day loans. You can ask your friends or relatives for the amount or ask your employer for an advance.

My advice, on PDL's is....stay away from them!! They are very high %!1 I think most of us, on this site, would say the same things. the PDL cycle is difficult to solve and overwhelming to handle.

Wow Lorri, I knew it was a bad deal but that is really outrageous.

Wed, 07/23/2008 - 00:06 Permalink

Yeah, it is that bad. I am military and we are always told to stay away from them when we have meetings. We are always encouraged to pass this on to the junior members who may not know. I hate how they always place their little shops right outside our gates to the base where every brand new sailor can see them. The sad part is that many of the people that work at these were also in the military, but would rather screw us over than help. =(

Many of the ones I see will ask if you are in the military and they will not lend to you if you or your spouse is in the service. What post are you on? what state is it in? Can't believe they can still get away with it, thought it was outlawed to lend to service members?????

I believe that the reason for the military decline on PDLs has something to do with them not being taken advantage of or something. I have read it someplace, but I can't remember.

I think the military deal was a federal government thing. I don't think that the government should be able to stick their nose in like this, it is a personal choice of the soldier and his family what they do with their money. They don't tell people on SSI or disability which is a government check that they can't get a payday loan!

I don't like the payday loans, but I don't like this law either.

Sat, 08/09/2008 - 09:51 Permalink

Wow is that actually a law. What happened to freedom here? That truly isn't a very good law.

When you are in the military (or a spouse/dependent of service member) they OWN you so to speak. Thats how they can do the thing with the PDLs.

Sun, 08/10/2008 - 02:25 Permalink

I spent 13 years in the military and we had the freedom to do with our money what we chose to do with it. We were held to laws like anyone else but there were no laws just for us like this. This law just came into affect a few years ago.

I think it is ridculous. Sure it would deter a good person from becoming part of the payday lender trap but I still believe there are people out there that just doesn't have any options. Especially if it was to put food on the table and gas in the tank to get to work.

Sun, 08/10/2008 - 02:39 Permalink

They are not allowed to lend to military at all.

My problem with this what else will they try to control on your personal side of life.

Sun, 08/10/2008 - 04:37 Permalink

Like I said it may not be freedom of choice but it could be for their own good.

Mon, 08/11/2008 - 01:49 Permalink

Yeah I know, it is just the young men and wome are not making the choice on their own, the government is making it for them. That is what upsets me, you should have the freedom to choose yourself.

Mon, 08/11/2008 - 03:24 Permalink

I definately do n ot argue with you there. all I am saying is later on we all may wish that we would ahve had these laws in place especially when dealing with the pay dy lenders.

No Fax Payday … (not verified)

One good thing about no fax payday loans is that even creditors with bad credit history are still giving another chance cause it really cares for the one who is in urgent situation. At this kind of lending company, you can sign up in the comfort of your home. A payroll advance lender can conveniently deposit funds directly into your current bank account and even take your payments automatically from that same account. That way, you can be out of town and still be able to receive money. With extra money from a low fee payday loan during a time of need, you can have less worry.

No thanks, buddy---we all have enough money woes without PDLs. Please take your not-too-well-veiled "advertising" elsewhere.

Sun, 08/31/2008 - 04:54 Permalink

I will agree with you on that one. All I need to hear is payday lender and I tun away frightened.

Wed, 09/03/2008 - 01:16 Permalink

As well you should-----they operate under the guise of being "help to those in financial need". Well, no thanks---I'd rather do without.

Wed, 09/03/2008 - 04:00 Permalink

I always have. I seen what they do to people. I can't believe that people even go for them. They have ads on TV and even give the rdiculous interest rate. I am not a big TV fan but when I do sit down occasionaly and watch I see the ads. Inhumane.

I fell into the trap a few years ago and it was not something I want to have to go through again,. Its almost like legal loansharking or something.

Thu, 09/04/2008 - 05:42 Permalink

Thats why I think they all should be illegal. I know they are out there and some people have no choice but either they cap the interest rate at a reasonable amount or some other poor souls end up being shark food.
