Desperately need help with payday loans. I need to pay it off.
Please Help !!!

Paying off payday loans is a growing concern among debtors and only way to get through this problem is to go for debt consolidation or debt settlement. I know about a large community that deals with people coming across problems in paying off payday loans.

You can seek advice on this topic from debtconsolidation care . I am sure the community there will be able to give you better suggestions.

I would like to apply for a loan

Mon, 11/20/2006 - 20:48 Permalink

Hi Irma,

This website doesn't offer any loans. May I ask the purpose you need the loan for? If you want to use the money for paying your debts, there are better options without taking new loans.

Enroll in some debt management programs. Getting a new loan especially with bad credit is often risky. Many companies in the internet are targeting people with bad credit. They will take the money from you by giving the hopes of a new loan and you will only realize to be scammed later.

If your purpose of the new loan is for paying the existing debts, enroll in a debt management program. Please register at community signup page for others' opinion and get the fix to your situation.

You can participate in Debt Consolidation Care Forum (see the link given by Richard in his post above). Perhaps, you may also enroll into a debt management program offered in your area through that site.

Regards
Seth

I am on a fixed income and never make it thru the month. Payday loans was the only option I have. Maybe that is not true but it is too late and that is what I did. I am in quicksand, now I have multiple payday Loans that need to be paid in full with a installment or debt consolidation loan, At 2 years at $175-$195 month. I need about 4.5 to 5 Grand. I have bad credit and it all seems absolutely hopeless. Can you help me with payday loan? I have tried debt consolidation-did not work. I need my creditors to be paid in full all at once. HELP ME PLEASE, with sugar on top.

Kimberly please stay away from payday loans, try your family if needed but not a payday company.

If consolidation has not worked for you go through some credit counseling session. May be a settlement will work for you. Also visit the debt forum, you will find immense support from there as well :)

You only dig yourself further and further in the hole when dealing with payday lenders. You need to contact these companies and tell them you plan to stop this and get back on your feet. It is the only way. Even if you pay them off one at a time. Are they storefront lenders? If you could work out a payment plan that has an end in sight you will be better off in the long run. good luck with this, it is a vicious circle to be in, I know, I have been there.

Sat, 11/03/2007 - 13:48 Permalink

Yeah, i have to agree there...sometimes these pdl companies are just ruthless and i think that if you just say 'look this is the way i'm going ot pay you' and really try to maybe pay one off at a time then you may be able to make progress. you will be able to breathe again, please check out the debt forums as you'll find many people there who have had similar situations to yours and you may find some options for payday loan help that you haven't thought of at your disposal. good luck to you and keep in touch.

I know I have learned through experience the best way to deal with them is to close of the funding source. Then once you default and they are done threatening you, they will calm down and work out a payment arrangement with an end in sight. Most of mine worked this way anyway, had a few that played hard ball, got lots of good advice from the forum at debt consolidation care.

I CAN NOT GET THIS PAID OFF LIKE I WISH TO, ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING ELSE AND IT KEEPS ME FROM HAVING THE MONEY THAT I'VE WORKED MY BUTT OFF FOR TO PAY BACK THAT MESS...I'VE BEGGED FOR SOMEONE TO OFFER ME PAYDAY LOAN HELP BUT NO LUCK.. WHAT I AM GOING TO DO...???

Hi Julia,

No point getting worked up now. A payday loan was your mistake and you have to pay for it. Well I guess your problem is that they are not agreeing to your terms of payment right? Just find out whether the company you had taken the loan from is legit or not. If they are legit then talk to them calmly stating that you intend to pay their money back but you need to work out because your financial health is not working fine.

I think talking slowly and calmly might help.

Julia,
What company did you take the loan from? was it an internet loan? where are you from? when you said you begged for payday loan help from someone, do you mean the company? A little more information we can help you I think. George has a point, if we can find out if the company you went through is legitimate or not we can start counteracting what's going on.

Wed, 11/07/2007 - 14:19 Permalink

PDLs are dangerous. They have your check as well. So not paying will be fraud anyway. Do the legitimacy check and do reply to debtstinkers questions.

Hi Julia

Do keep us posted and see if you can get any help with payday loans.

Thu, 11/08/2007 - 05:28 Permalink

Julia,

You should visit the debtconsolidationcare web page mentioned earlier in the post, you will get all the information you need there from people have been through it and will have dealt with some of the same companies that you are dealing with. Go there and ask for advice, hang in there, I know it is tough and you can't see light right now, but with a little payday loan help and guidance you will be fine. Take a deep breath, go to debtcc and trust in their advice. Good luck with this.

I HAVE 8 PAYDAY LOANS AND I CAN'T PAY THEM WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Mon, 11/12/2007 - 04:08 Permalink

Johnathon, there is a wonderful forum with alot of good information and people who are or have been in your same boat. At the top of this home page you will see a few choices for forums, choose the debt forum. They are good at helping, advising you through the entire process. Are these internet or store front loans?

Mon, 11/12/2007 - 13:06 Permalink

Good advice :). Its really difficult in case of internet loans right good?

Wed, 11/14/2007 - 08:35 Permalink

Actually, it will be better if they are internet, good chance they are illegal, if they are illegal, they may not have to pay them at all or they may get a break on the balance. Gives you more bargaining leverage.

Storefront screams, legal

Thu, 11/15/2007 - 02:13 Permalink

Thats true. I meant that some people even pay money to get a cash advance. Thats where the catch is. Store fronts can be a pain because they shout legit.

Thu, 11/15/2007 - 05:08 Permalink

Sometimes the internet companies will violate the state law on what fees they collect and etc. They are more likely to be caught this way than the store fronts, the storefronts usually follow the law or right on the edge of it, because they are bricks and mortar in the state.

Sat, 11/17/2007 - 12:26 Permalink

Yes, the store front loans might come up with papers for legit business.

Tue, 11/20/2007 - 07:36 Permalink

The ad above ( loan company) should not be advertising. If someone REALLY looks at the phone number, it's an overseas number........God knows what kind of fees, etc, are involved. MOD needs to look at this.

Thu, 11/22/2007 - 21:57 Permalink

Is there a way besides posting here to bring it to a mods attention sd?

I need help too. I have gotten into the payday loan trap and the stress is starting to effect me physically. I need help.

Wed, 12/05/2007 - 02:05 Permalink

Hi Nutrition girl,

First find out which ones are legitimate. Most PDL companies are scams. If you think you have already paid more than what you are supposed to then immediately stop paying. If you are getting harassed lodge a complaint with the AG of the state.

Do not get nervous and keep in mind that you have to stay away from PDL for the rest of your life time.

Wed, 12/05/2007 - 08:03 Permalink

Nutrition girl, what state are you from? What are the companies that you have the loans with? Each state has its own law when it comes to payday lending, for example it is illegal in the state of pennylvania. Please list your state and the companies that you borrowed from and I will try to get you that information.

I am glad to see that it got deleted. Some people are so desperate that they may have went there for help and ended up in a nightmare. Shame on people who use someones misfortune for their gain.

Hi angela
It is always essential that you pay your pay day loans back on time else it may be reported to the credit reporting agencies and they will reflect it in your credit report which in turn will lower your credit score. Moreover these pay day loans comes with high rates of interest. I think you should try for a debt consolidation loan to pay off your pay day loans.

Mon, 07/07/2008 - 05:45 Permalink

in the event that you cannot obtain a consolidation loan call the pdl companies and try to work out a payment arrangement with them. just be careful not to put all of your cash in the account they pull payment out of so you dont get cleaned out. also get your agreement in writing

Mon, 07/07/2008 - 06:09 Permalink

Actually debt consolidation loans mostly comes with interest rates lower than that of pay day loans and where you can combine all the four payday loans into a single loan account. This will also will also be easier for you to manage. Moreover, if you still don't get a debt consolidation loan, then as said by CMBV, you can ask your creditor for a repayment plan, and agree for one that you can afford to pay.

Mon, 07/07/2008 - 07:35 Permalink

Payday loans are very high interest rates, avoid them and go with consolidation if at all possible.

Mon, 07/07/2008 - 15:42 Permalink

I agree with goodnatured. Payday loans actually cost you too much of interest, which in turn effects your disposable income. So it is always better to try for debt consolidation loans which clubs all your existing loans into a single loan account and that too at a much lower payment than the total payment of all individual pay day loans.

Tue, 07/08/2008 - 07:28 Permalink

I have burned and learned on this one, I was in a payday loan mess for a while. Things are better now that I have gotten my finances in order and gotten away from the pay day loans, it was not easy, but I did it.

Hi angelaallum
Pay back your payday loans by using a debt consolidation loan and try not to take any payday loans further. This is because with payday loans you pay not only high rate of interest, but if you fail to pay back the loan on time, you land up much higher payments taking you to a debt trap.

Thu, 07/10/2008 - 12:21 Permalink

It can be a viscious circle, you end up paying back much more than what you have borrowed, try to get out of the trap as soon as possible and then pinch those pennies if you have to not to get into a situation again. Goodluck with this, I hope you can stay on track and not get involved with the payday loan companies.

Thu, 07/10/2008 - 15:18 Permalink

Yes, actually what happens is that since payday loan comes with high interest rates most people cannot keep track of the payment if some other unforeseen expenses arises before the payment date for the pay day loan. Even one missed payment will attract more interest rates and other charges thereby increasing the repayment amount. So as goodnatured pointed out, pay day loans mostly result in vicious circle and it becomes very difficult to get out of it. Therefore I would also prefer to go for a debt consolidation loan and pay back the pay day loan first.

Fri, 07/11/2008 - 08:56 Permalink

A consolidation loan would be the way to go and get the payday loans paid off, then stay away from them altogether.

Fri, 07/11/2008 - 21:12 Permalink

oh boy, another victim of the payday loan industries, these companies sure are making a killing off the fees and intrest on these loans. I hope you get out of this mess soon.

Sat, 07/12/2008 - 02:21 Permalink

if you cannot get a consolidation loan make a budget and pay off your secured debt first followed by your highest intrest rate accounts. You should try to make payment agreements with your DCs to try to prevent further collections. Also, be sure to start a savings account to try and prevent the need for PDLs in the future

Sun, 07/13/2008 - 01:51 Permalink

yes definately, once you get on your feet, start an emergency plan, that way you will not have to ever do the payday loan thing again.

Sun, 07/13/2008 - 02:21 Permalink

Yup, It is just poor financial planning to budget all of your money away. You never know when you are going to get hurt or have a car die. You have to have a savings, more so if you have poor credit

Mon, 07/14/2008 - 00:12 Permalink

Yes, I too feel that if you do not manage to get a debt consolidation loan to pay off your pay day loans, you should cut down your monthly expenses and take immediate steps to see that you pay off your pay day loans first. You may also take some advance from your employer if you have the option to do so, and pay it back from your next pay amount.

No matter what your income, I have found that if you live like you are making minimum wage for six months that you can totally turn it around, you just have to tighten up the reigns a little bit and not spend money on frivoulous things, just for six months and you will see a big improvement in your budget, try it, it works.

Tue, 07/15/2008 - 02:28 Permalink

That is a really good idea except for those making min. wage. I know for the past year we have lived on a tight budget. At first I missed all the extras we use to do. Now none of it seems imortant anymore. as long as we have gas, groceries and a roof I am happy.

have you heard anything on your accident yet? ?Hopefully they will soon so you can get back on track.

Sat, 07/19/2008 - 18:24 Permalink

Nope nat a thing. Apparently they are still awaiting documents from my ins. co, dentist (to prove tmj from accident), I got that and sent it myself and they are waiting on my personal ins. company to prove they are entitled to repayment of the bills they paid on my behalf. They have leins now for thousands against my settlement. At first it was only $1700 but they resubmitted since more bills are coming in. They are going to continue cause I have another "surgery" this tuesday. They will want money for that too. I was gonna put it off till settlement but physically can't do this cause my right hand fingers are curling up. I am sooo stressed.
