OMG, about peed my pants, I had a real visual on that. I had a lot of empty gallon milk jugs and decided to throw them all away, well I put about twenty of them crushed up in a cheap bag, they were wanting out really bad, like busting the bag. Well they did, when the trash guy picked them up the bag exploded, they were all over the road. I was looking out the window and was laughing so hard as he was throwing them into the trash truck, especially when they would bounce back out because he threw them so hard. I know he wanted to just leave them there.
So for trash bags, you definately get what you pay for.

There should be a law against cheap trash bags, they are a real pain, I know some companies or I should say communities make you buy their bags for trash, they are all different colors for the different things. I see a bunch of bright orange that are really heavy, sometimes I see people buying a few at the grocery store, they sell them individually at the counters. They sure are not cheap either.
I have to laugh at your story though fireyone, your poor husband, do you buy him good ones now I hope. Nothing more frustrating than a trash bag falling apart when you are trying to get it to the curb. |

ROFLMAO----I hate those cheap bags TOO. The Dollar Tree here sells these things they call "steaks". Its not like any steak I've ever eaten. I would rather have had hamburger than that piece of shoe leather (thats what my mom referred to it as). But when you think of a price of Manolo
Blahnik shoes---shoe leather should taste GOOD--right?

I was sitting here reading it and laughing out loud and my husband agreed with fireyones husband, that those cheap bags are awful, he said what are you laughing at when I was reading it so I had to share.

I solve the whole issue---don't buy the bags at all and use the plastic grocery bags. Small, yes--cheap, yes (you don't really pay for 'em).

| Sure that would work Lorri. We have a 4 bag limit and are charged for each extra bag. I can picture GN trash collecotr throwing twenty wal mart sized trash bags in the truck.. We don't want to get her shot after the milk jug thing do we? |

Well, we live in an apt. complex so there is no bag limit! However, GN's trashman might get carpal-tunnel from throwing so many bags--I guess there would be trouble in trashman land.
