Commercials

I had to come here and vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so tired of the male enhancement drug commercials, there are so many any more, it is really getting under my skin. Does anyone know any one to write about these, they should be right up there with the cigarette commercials as far as I am concerned. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but it seems like they keep coming up with new drugs for this, get real, don't they have more important things to spend their research money on? Now they come up with some stinking cream, all I can say is, OMG, get real!

Do they have to have the commercials on televison, can't they just print the crap and put it in doctors offices, I know their intended audience are males, but my four year old watches tv with us and she is seeing this crap too, I don't want her thinking that a pill can cause this much happiness. The pharmacuetical industry really needs to rethink their advertising campaign and where they put it.

I know what you mean, good, it does get tiring that with all going on in todays world that this is such an important subject for some. I tend to try and ignore those commercials but I can see how it would be aggrevating, in todays world it is all about the money, if you remember a few years ago the big push was on antidepressants, every time you turned on the television there was a commercial for a new drug to make you happy. They used to air these commercials at their targeted audience during the soap operas during the day. I always thought, that if I sat around and wathched the soaps all day, I would need medication too. To us, erectile disfunction maybe a sore spot but to many men this is a serious issue, I do agree however that they need to find a new arena to advertise, I don't think the television is necessarily the place they should be doing it. They don't know who would be watching, especially the smaller children who are old enough to ask what they are talking about and enhancing their vocabulary, guess this is not the best platform.

I feel your pain, but I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon, guess you can just come here and vent, we will be happy to listen.

honestly if I knew someone to write I would and let them know that enough is enough, you can not sit down and watch any type of programming like a sporting event or hunting show that has any thing to do with men or you have to watch these stupid commercials. I know these shows need sponsorship but how would men feel if they advertised, menstral cramping medications or tampons during the commercials, maybe I should write the producers of the show and tell them as a female watching their shows I would appreciate some female advertisement and see what they say.

I hear you erb, I am probably stuck with them, I was just in a foul mood and there was another one of those commercials again. I can see if there is a legitamate need for the medication but if it is just to fix what ain't broke or come on are we not supposed to age out of some things? Like when we are 80, are we supposed to be able to run a marathon? NO! Probably not real good on the old ticker, right? I just think it is advertised so much and it is one of those things that if one sees it on tv, they think they have it, so they want the medication for a condition that they really don't have.

Thats okay Laura, you should not feel obligated to post on a subject that you don't feel comfortable with, LOL.

Well, if anything pops up, and I think of anything... I will share

You are bad! :D

I agree but don't they always have that little blurb that says to make sure you are healthy enough, LOL, yeah like men care about that. I am just kidding here.

Bottom line is there is money in the industry and they will continue to produce what ever makes them the most money, sorry good, you are stuck with this type of commerical for a long time to come.
