need to cancel credit score boost. Ask to cancel last month but stiil taking out of debit card. Needs to stop.

We are not the place that you are looking for. Who is the company that is debiting your account? Maybe we can help you find the contact information. Please list the name here and we will see what we can find on the company.

This is a credit forum, we discuss issues with credit and how to repair it and a lot of other issues besides that. If you have something credit related we may be able to help you there also.

What is credit boost? How did you find it? How is it supposed to work?

Credit Boost? Mmmmm.....don't think I've ever heard of THAT one. I'm just curious, though.....how much ARE you paying to 'boost' your credit, CINIBULK? Where did you get the info on this 'credit boost' thing? Maybe 'we' can help you THAT way....if 'we' know where you received the info.

There have been complaints on this on every credit site it seems:

Why has my bank account been charged 11.95 from you? I have not authorized it!

November 14, 2008 at 6:23 pm(2) Larry Welch says:
I didn’t authorize you to take out 11.95 each month. The info said a 1.00 charge would be taken out,……….this is a fraudulant business practice; you leave no way of contacting you for obvious reasons. I will be reporting you to some Better Business Bureau as soon as I find a way to do so!! You have until Monday, November 17th, 2008 to get back with me and at least deliver what you promised - a free credit report.

By reading the above listed at another site it seems this may be a company offering a free credit report and boost to your score. We need to know more details so we can get to the bottom of this. It seems ALOT of people are getting ripped by whatever company this is.

Hello Mr Smith, please let us know how we can help you by supplying some information on where you applied for this credit card boost. I have found many sites that offer this and they all seem very unsafe.

i never got a credit report...i got so far on computor and it would not let me go any farther but i got charged $1.00 11/06 and $11.95 11/15 on credit card 4388576034132848...i do not intend to pay these amounts and am notifying the card company...please send refund to cover these charges

Mon, 12/01/2008 - 17:34 Permalink

Hi Barbara
The charge $11.95 may be the annual charge for maintaining the credit card. There are some credit cards which has annual charges and some which have no charges. However, I can assist you further in this forum if you can tell us the name of the credit card company against which the amount was charged. If there is annual charge of maintaining the card, you have to pay it else close the credit card account. I don't think that even if you apply for a refund on such amount you will get it back.

Wow it really seems like you guys have something going on. I do not know if maybe you clicked on an add at the top of the page here or maybe are just getting this web site confused wiht another. In any case I am hoping this is not spam...thinking maybe the moderator of the site needs to stop in and assess the situation.

RON...we are not a service. This is a Credit Repair forum. Seems like ALOT of people, on this thread, were getting a bit mixed up, on what site they were in.

Hi ronwaterhole
If you want to cancel a debit card, all you need to do is to call up the bank with whom you have the card and ask them to cancel it. If the credit card is lost, there is no need to cancel the credit card, all you need to do is to ask the bank to block the card so that nobody can make any purchase on the card. If you can tell us the name of the bank with whom to hold the debit card, we can try and find out the contact details.

Mr. Gonzales...you have reached this ite in error. It is never safe to give out your card information or personal home phone number over the internet. I hope that the mod comes along and deletes this information for your best benefit. When everyone signed up for this service was there not a telephone number there that could be called for future information?

I will get right on that, let me get off here and pick up my phone, really anxious since you did not think that we were worth the time to register and have a discussion with.

Sun, 12/07/2008 - 12:38 Permalink

GN you have it wrong. These people are actually getting slammed by this company. They are debiting their accounts for $11.95 after signing up for some program. People are looking for that number to call and cancel so they can get their money back.

Ihave never signed up for credit score boost as i am aware of. They keep taking this 11.95 monthly and I cannot find a telephone number to cancel nor any address.

Is there anyway the bankl could help you with this. If some unauthorized person or persons take money from your account the bank will reimburse it and go after the person or place responsible. That is where I would begin. Don't let any of the tellers at the bank tell you differently. Ask to speak to a manager. People on this forum and some I have known personally have dealt with creditors illegally taking unauthorized money from their accounts and the bank stepped in and gave them back the money and then went to the comapny to get their money back. Also there was a number given by an earlier poster 866 340 9197..see if this can help you. Check back so if it does the trick or you find out anything we can help the others.

Like others I started seeing charges show up that I did not agree to. Followed advice to call 866 340 9197 (credit report america)
With name and zip code she found my account and after I explained I did not agree to any charges she agreed to give me a full refund and cancelled 11.95 and 4.95 charges and ongoing fees.
On the phone I was advised that they could not provide me with e-mail or confirming this was done. I pushed this and asked her to speak to a supervisor. Still no luck but then after I came off the phone I got an e-mail confirming all charges would be refunded within 2 weeks.
To close the loop, I have given all the details to my credit card company.
I am still not happy that in the process of requesting the original credit report which I never got(!) I gave important details out - a big lesson learned!
Thank you to the person who suggested calling 866 340 9197

Mon, 12/08/2008 - 23:28 Permalink

Do you have any idea how these charges even started to appear? Maybe just from all those important details they got enough information to get the money oin their pockets. I can see by the different posts and people that this company must be making a killing off of doing this. I want to Thank you for coming here and listing all this ,especially the information on the telephone number. I am still not sure how people got our site confused by theirs but at least it made it to a place that wants to help people out. I do hope in all of this you have learned a valuable lesson on just how important you information is...protect it at all costs...

In response to how it happened. Several weeks ago I completed an on-line request for a "free" credit history report. I am embarrassed to say I cannot be sure which site I went to but I got it by doing a google search on free credit history and picking a popular one (not a good technique!). Alarm bells should have gone off when they wanted $1 and a credit card. There was a terms and conditions in a scrolling window but I did not spot details but I probably did not read it carefully enough.
The request for a report said it could not generate a report at which point I left the site. There was no obvious option at this time to cancel anything. Then the charges started showing up for a service they were not providing.

Have you went down to your bank and reported this to them. There should be a form you can sign and then they can no longer take money out of the account. The bank should also be able to help you get your money back if they illegally took money from your account/. If it were me I would go vivit my nearest banking branch and ask them how to get this to stop and keep any futire deductions from happening. Remember the sooner the better. I wonder if there is somewhere that you can report web sites for doing this kind of thing. Doeds anyone know?

Sun, 12/14/2008 - 22:01 Permalink

Hi Jesse
Even if you close down an account with a repair agency, they may withdraw money from your bank account until and unless you give instruction to the bank to stop paying them as Fireyone said. You must have given an instruction to the bank to pay them or have given them your credit card number. I think you should have a talk with your bank regarding this.

Mon, 12/15/2008 - 08:15 Permalink

If you have given tehm your credit card number as Justin suggested then you will need to conrtact the credit card company. They are really good at taking care of these things. I seen on this post or another that the site had asked for credit card information to verify and get your free report so it is a really good chance this is what they actually wanted the information for. I will not use my credit card information for anything on the net that asks for it to verify unless it is at the actual www.annualcreditreport.com. Be sure to call whatever account they are debiting.

Bailey, We here can not do anything to get those charges to stop. We have nothing to do with the site you are looking for. My best advice to you is to call the number listed earlier in this post. You may have to go to the bottom of the page and click on previous page. You should also go to your bank and they can stop these charges from happening again.

Third party debt collection agcneies purchase your debt at a low cost with the goal of making a profit on their purchase. You are 100% not required by law to pay a third party whom you did not sign a contract with over the original debt. The debt collection agency has no legal right to demand money from you because you never signed a contract with them. They're just a bunch of idiots paid commission to scare you into paying a debt that your bank/credit card organization has already closed.

Each CELLPHONE call has potential to be a viioltoan potentially costing $1500 for EACH instance they call or leave message depending where you reside (viioltoans can rack up between various federal law + your state laws. This does not count the possible FDCPA laws as well. So if you want to make some money off collectors, write to let them know not to call but in the meatime let them do so they violate. Keep a log of all cellphone calls, recordings, cellphone bill, and proceed with lawsuit.
