Keeping money in your budget during the holidays

I have been getting some wonderful cash back opportunities from paypal, like 20 bucks cash back on a purchase of 50 or more on walmart.com, you can also get free ship to store on your items, no matter what the price tag.

Just wondering if there are any other ways you guys are saving or getting money back for purchases?

That's a good tip...thanks, GN. I'll have to look into that. I've bought a few things, off of the Paypal website.

I do almost all of my shopping online, I find that if I can get free shipping and sometimes the items will be tax free depending on the state, some have no taxes and do not impose any from the state you are from. I have done this the last few years and probably will continue. There are always morons in the stores that irritate me.

Lets not even talk about stores this time of year. I love the ones that barely move and hold up lines of people all because they are looking at their reciept or talking on a cell phone. GN how does places like paypal offer such good savings? They are giving you back almost half your money. How did you find this deal? Is it posted on paypals site? I have a couple items that I stil need to get an if this is a deal running then I may purchase online to. Boy this could really cut down the Christmas expenses.

They have just recently offered a 20% cash back if you use their secure site to purchase items. I am not a big fan of on line shopping but I think paypal made the whole internet shopping thing a lot safer. I like that you can link any account to it that you want and it is widely accepted by other internet sites. People really have to be careful these days with their identilty. Christmas I would believe is a good opportunity for identity theives to try an d steal peoples information. So if anyone is shopping online hopefull y they will use a site like paypal.

How would you receive the 'cash-back'? Would they pay the 20% back through your Paypal account or send a check or...what?

I did not look into it exactly but I did look at a similair offer. If you spent $50 they would credit your paypal $20 on January 15. This is probaly how they are running the new offer I would guess. Probaly you can buy up until a certain date and then they later credit your accoun t..you could then transfer it back into your checking if you wanted. I really hope if you are considering on line shopping you take a look at this offer and its safe secure site.

Thanks for the answer. I intend to look at it. Is Paypal offering this 20% back 'offer' jJUST for the holidays, or is this a 'continuing' thing? I haven't really 'explored', too much, on Paypal. When I get my payments, from this forum, I just 'accept' them and 'move on'.
