has any one ever filed a civil suit? i need to do so but every one tells me that if they dont own any thing im just out the money i have to pay to file the civil suit. there should be better rules to collect on this. my suit is for rent of a mobile home the people finally left but vadelized the property before leaveing and i mean vandelized. they tore the ceiling blocks out and smashed the walls tore out light fixtures, and left feces in the commode and garbage everywhere inside and out.

the law is differant in every state and it depends on the court system in my area wheather they want to do any thing or not. still checking

You are bound to the same reality that other creditors are:
blood cannot be squeezed from a turnip.
Go get your judgment; you might get paid eventually.
Are criminal charges a possibility?
My [very limited] understanding of bankruptcy law is that a debt incurred as a result of criminal behavior is not dischargeable.

they do own vehicles and some furniture, the law could sheriff sale if they would go after them but right now i dont even know where they moved in the process of finding out. really can not believe the bums i would never think of doing anything like that. thier just plain worse than a barn full of pigs.
Oh...the other thing; you have to pay to execute on a judgment. In California, to seize a car, you have to fork over $1200+ to the sheriff, and the fee is then tacked onto the amount owed to you.
i dont think i can recover my loss but i will watch and try to find out where they live and notify thier new landlord . i will tell everyone i know about this and hopefully cause some shame to family members who in turn may try to do the right thing. i can not believe they let people get away with this its one thing to be poor but theres no excuse for down right hogs. if any of you are from pa watch out they may try and get you next ill give any one thier names .
