How do you make money online???

Submitted by goodnatured on Sat, 09/06/2008 - 22:29

How do any of you make money online, could you list them here for me to check out please.

Thats a good question and since I have free time on my hands and barely any cash this would be appreciated. I see a thing below Lorris name about extra money but when I click on it another page comes up but nothing is displayed.

Has anyone ever recieved a message after submitting a post on here like this: You have exceeded the alotted amount of posts. You will not earn anything for your last post? I never seen this before and hope I can continue posting.

Hello Jessica and welcome to the forum. Yes you have the right idea about magic points. The best part isn't really the money though for me. It is the support I get through thnis site and the good feelings of helping others who are lost in the credit debt world. I think you will find this site very informative and will learn more than a few things along the way.
GN, I posted a question about it but don't see it anywhere but so far so good so onward.

I know this thread is a bit old, however...I would like to 'shed some light' on THIS subject: the Extra Income thing. I've looked at ALOT of other Money Making sites, Make extra money chatting on forums, etc. From what I have seen, there is NOTHING like THIS forum to make extra cash. Other sites, that I have been on, pay VERY little. A 'chat' forum, I was looking at, WILL pay 0.025 per post.However..............you can get paid only once a month and if you're not 'active' ( post every other day..it says..) you can get 'cash deducted' from your account. Gosh.....crazy. Even PTR's..........don't pay hardly anything. You would be on their sites FOREVER!! Just thought I would put my '2 cents' in.

I really agree with you SD. I have tried alot of those survey places...I can name quite a few. Some you can spend tons of time filling things out and then get a message "sorry you do not qualify for this study" I do have one that I am not doing too bad on but sometimes you will fill out a survey and never get credit for it. Still enjoy my forums the best. I like the personal touch. You can actually communicate with other people and not just look at a screen clicking buttons.

Sun, 10/26/2008 - 12:53 Permalink

yea..I know what you mean, FIREYONE. The 'closeness' is the best part about this. There are a few Surveys I tried...got the same thing, 'did not qualify' thing. And the survey took a long time, too! Or the PTR's things. You click and click..and really get 'no where'. Also....you get to the point, on THIS forum, that you know everyone by now, too!!

Sun, 10/26/2008 - 13:02 Permalink

And don't forget that you have to give your e-mail and then your box fills with all that junk..Soem you will fill out clean until the end only to find out to complete the survey you have to give your phone number..thats crap...I just got rid of collectors calling. I sure to heck don't want these people calling too.

Sun, 10/26/2008 - 13:46 Permalink

Then the 'surveys' send you a TON more things. Why should you waste your time, again, to do them, when you did them a TON of times and "din't qualify?" Giving out personal info on myself. Thats' scary enough. God knows who gets the info, from there.

Mon, 10/27/2008 - 01:49 Permalink

I am only doing one right now but I even quit on that, just waiting on my final pay. Its crazy to sit there and fill out all this stuff and then not have it credit...I could have doen 10 posts by then and been assured I was getting credited.

I have been doing alright on my surveys have about $40 bucks made so far this month. I am working all angles that I can to make a little money, so if you guys have other suggestions, please share.

I haven't done too bad. I just hate putting all that time into something and then it not crediting. I have been seeing a lot of that happening on a site I am on. The other biggest pet peeve is when I got 5 into a survey and then it says I don't qualify or that the survey has been filled. Why even put it up there if they don't need it anymore? In any case it isn't a bad way to make a couple extra dollars but I still prefer the forums.

I don't do the OTX ones, they always have some stipulation on them

Tue, 10/28/2008 - 10:53 Permalink

I do not do them either. They drive me nuts. I never qualify. I am finding this on the others too though. I must have tried to qualify for 7 different ones yesterday and didn't get a one. Actually one of them took me almost completely through and then near the end (75% complete) it told me the information was no longer needed and sorry for the inconvience. I was ticked and got off.

Gosh!! How frustrating!! I use to search ALOT on line...thinking there was something 'equal' to this forum. I've seen several of them..but, nothing compared to here. On diffferent forums/surveys you have only so many you can do a day, or..some kind of 'time limit' ( if you don't do a survey within that time, you 'lose it). Crazy..huh?

What is helium? I don't think I have ever heard of it. Sometimes it gets tough keeping up with all the sites. I do about three total including this forum. My arm can't handle all the typing.

Sun, 11/09/2008 - 23:02 Permalink

Helium is a site where you write articles, they have many different avenues, you can write in the market place which pays a said amount. You can enter writing contests or just write on anything you want and people visit and rate you. If you are into writing it is a good site.

GOODNATURED......is it Helium (dot) com? Is it a blog thing? Never heard of it. Can you PM me with some more info, please? Thanks.

Tue, 11/11/2008 - 11:40 Permalink

yep, you got it right, Helium(dot)com, no it is not a blog, it is an actual page that has a market place when they post things they want you to write about. I can send you the link if you pm me your email address.

Doing things like this is a good way to get ahead. I try to set aside the extra money I make by doing these things in to a seperate account and that way I can use it towards a rough spot or towardsa credit card bill. I have soo many medical bills that are under $100 but can not pay them off because of the number of them. I usually wait until I get so much and then take care of one. It will hopefully keep the bill collectors off my back and get the debts paid off. I will check out Helium too.

That is a good idea to have all your online earnings go to a separate account, I do that also, I split it between mine and my daughters savings account. It does not look like much but it really adds up over time. On the one survey site, I can make $60 a month easy and split that up between us, that is like $720 a year divided by two, $310 a year for each account, not bad.

I have so much money go FROM my checking account TO my savings account, every payday. Some goes into my son's account, some into mine. Sometimes it's difficult to keep money in MY savings account, if something comes up, that I have to cover.

Hi Neeraj
Try to negotiate with the creditor only if the creditor has validated the debt else not. If you find the name of the collection agency listed in your credit report, then go for debt validation, else there is no need for asking for debt validation. However, after calling you up if the creditor sends you debt validation notice, you can definitely go for debt validation. However, you should always send DV letter by certified mail.

I received a call from an #800 numbers, that have recordings like " this is a urgent buiness matter..". I returned the call. They stated they were calling from a CA and needed to "validate" some of my information on a debt. I asked several times who they were....they din't even tell me THAT much. How do these so-called CA's get phone numbers? I mean, if they were REALLY collecting for some OC, I would think they would, AT LEAST tell me who they were.

Fri, 01/09/2009 - 01:19 Permalink

You should not disclose any personal information like your social security number or the credit card number to anybody over phone. A collection agency never validates debt over phone. If a CA calls you to recover a debt, they need to either list the debt in your credit report or send a debt validation notice within 5 days from the date of initial correspondence. The collection agencies normally get the phone numbers from the original creditors from whom they purchase the debt.

Fri, 01/09/2009 - 11:00 Permalink

Yes that is where they get there numbers but when a person defaults on a debt and changes there number it really causes another person a lot of grief. With moer and more people doing this I hear alot of these complaints. As for validating a debt by phone I do not think they can even legally do that because they have to have a copy of the original signed contract. Anything less than that is not debt validation.

Tue, 01/13/2009 - 15:26 Permalink

True.....you can REALLY 'Validate' anything, by phone. Sometimes CA's will ask you to FAX then paperwork. I don't like doing that, either.

Wed, 01/14/2009 - 03:23 Permalink

Hi Chargers
You can ask for debt validation over phone but there will be no proof that you have asked for validation if the creditor or the collection agency do not validate the debt. You will have the proof that you have asked for validation only if you send the DV letter by certified mail with return receipt. Moreover, the creditor cannot validate the debt over phone as proper debt validation requires the creditor to provide you with a copy of the original signed contract between you and the original creditor.

Sorry, JUSTIN for taking a while to 'get back to you'. I see what you're saying...if you don't have it on paper, it's like it never happened.
