how do you know what the best medicine is for you ? i know some of my meds raise my blood sugars and when i ask the doctor if maybe some alternitive medicine might be better he said no i think everybodys differant what works for one may not work for the next. i know the drug zetia for coleresterol doesnt do zip for me. i think doctors dont really want you to get better. im clastophobic and have to get a mri in the small machine , they gave me a pill to calm me before i get it but i dont see that happening. im already stressed over it if it doesnt knock me out ill be screaming.

First thing you need to do is calm down about it, you have to have the MRI done, it will not do your heart any good to get all stressed out before hand. Can you go to another facility where they can do an open MRI, there maybe another hospital somewhere that has this available to you. Your blood pressure is going to affect your heart condition and this is not good either.

You need to calm your mind and quit thinking about it so much, an MRI machine has been around for a long long time, I don't think that I have ever heard of anyone getting hurt in one of them. Would they let a tech be in the room with you? You might want to asked them that, or will they play some music to calm you down while they are taking the pictures? You sound like you have yourself all shook up, I think you should really talk to the MRI technician, not your doctor, they deal with the issues that people have with their machines. Goodluck, I hope you make it through this with out too much trouble.

I personally feel that you need to change the facility. DO checkup from different doctors and call others for consultation. Keep your cool and work upon it.
