Ok I have an old debt (2years, 2 month until 7 years) but on my credit report there is about 4 different CA reporting along with the OR. (at once time is was 6, I fought with credit agency, they took the one company off and now its back on with a different account number) The only difference is the amounts very from CA to CA. the dept is 9,000 but one has it at 18,000! I just got a bill from one. I just sent a DV. The same day I got a call from a different CA but the person on the phone refuse to send me proof. Said she will only fax it! She told me she worked for Scott klein but refuse to give me any other info. I looked up the number and according to my recent credit inquires, the number matches a searay portfolio mng.
Is all of this allowed?

do you have all your credit reports?
what state are you in?
what is the original creditor and the name of the CA?
what is the date of first delinquency? 30 days after last payment

this information will help me make suggestions specific to your case. The state will determine the statue of limitations for this debt. knowing the name of the OC original creditor, will help show if there is a specific govt regulating agency that can help so rt out the truth. Knowing the exact dates is very important too.
