I have a couple account on charge off. I was wondering is there any way i can go back to making monthly payments on these accounts? I was looking to increase my credit score, signed up with lexington law but doesnt seem to be working. Thanks for any help

Usually negative items will remain on your credit report for the next 7 years. Charge-off account is treated as a negative item. You can contact with your original creditors and negotiate with them. You may try to payoff the charged-off account. If it is not possible for you to payoff the debts in full, then you may try to settle the charged-off accounts with your creditors. If the creditors accept your proposal, then you can request them to update your account status as “Settled Charge-off” after repaying the debt. You may also request them to remove the negative items from your credit report. But, it depends on their discretion whether or not to accept your request.

I would call these creditors as soon as possible before they sell your debt to a collections agency!
